This was mentioned outside the Golden Lion the other week. Basically, we're looking to fill a table of ten, costing us £19.70 each... there were a few who expressed interest but we're looking to confirm definites as the event is a week on Thursday.

Can you let us know asap if you do want to go as Foxy and I will need to collect payment at this Saturday's home game.

One of the greatest games in Sheffield United’s history will be celebrated by Blades legends and never before seen footage of the momentous match will be unveiled to fans.

May 1 marks the 40th anniversary of one of the most fondly remembered games to take place at Bramall Lane, the promotion clinching match against Watford.

The 1971 clash was played out in front of a crowd of more than 38,000 fans and saw goals from Alan Woodward and the late, great, Gil Reece. The game saw United triumph 3-0 over Watford to gain promotion to the top division in English football.

For one night only most of the members of the winning Blades team will come together again for an anniversary evening to fondly remember and celebrate the historic game.

The event at Bramall Lane’s Platinum Suite will also feature a complimentary drink on arrival, player introduction, pie & peas and a question and answer session with the legends.

The event is on 28th April 2011. Tickets for the evening cost £25 per person or £197.10 for a table of ten people.
