No we aren’t going to replace Bash, he will be first choice, I can’t think we will get a back up very cheap. Cranie looked excellent when he played last season.

We need to spend the money we do have on 2 quality improvements up front, LWB and Midfield. But we let so many go that some of those valuable funds are going to be diverted into bringing in squad players.

There’s no way he’s going to get the level of service required to be as effective in the Premier League. We need someone who can create chances for themselves. Somebody similar to Che Adams would be perfect for next season. It’s a shame we can’t compete for him, I think he’ll be an England player within 2 seasons.

You do need someone who is going to create chances themselves but that player is the one who would play alongside Sharp someone similar

I thought his message was upbeat and realistic; pragmatic and sensible.

Squad size is an issue. We need 23 first team squad minimum. We are allowed 25. We need depth as we'll get carded a lot, that's the way it is for teams like us in the P.L.

I reckon a minimum 4 new additions have to be good enough to immediately earn a first team place. Maybe 3 more quality squad signings.We should really have a couple of young lads good enough to make the numbers up but I can't see any.

He was only asked about Henderson and Freeman, and he only commented on Henderson. but Id assume those two and then 1 or 2 more.

I thought he was evasive when asked about Freeman. So I think that one is nailed on. It was when he turned the conversation to Hardy and Willis that I realised it was a shoe-in.
