Sorry for the lad but hardly a first team regular, is Chapman ready to step in ?

Not at wingback; Riley being out leaves us without RWB cover so it's a bit of a blow. That said - dislocated shoulder and out for 10 weeks??

Agree not a first team regular but does reduce our options to rest or spell players. In particular we look a bit thin at RWB where the only real cover for a Freeman would be Bash who at the moment is playing all the time too. Unless of course we think O'Shea can do a job there?
This could be a bigger blow than we initially think.

Basham can cover RWB if needed but let's not forget Freeman has only missed ONE game since coming back into the fray after that back injury, that was against Bristol Rovers. Not worried.

i hear CW works the lads very hard in training. Seems to be working but sometimes you pay the price

Now you've gone and done it.
The footballing God's will be rubbing their hands now.

Unfortunate for the lad,we don't seem to get much luck with these young loanees...As for Madine,I wouldn't give him the time of day...not even going to give him the satisfaction of booing the gobshite..that would be giving him recognition.

Dudes:

Joe Riley is out on the weekend. Accident in training. Dislocated shoulder. Tripped. Being scanned back at Man U. Bad for us, bad for him.
He will have another scan later to determine if he'll be back with us at all. He may just return to Man U permanently.
Everyone else is fit other than Clarke.
There won't be many surprises in terms of the team selection for the weekend.
We've been playing well but haven't had the run of the ball and have lacked a bit of composure in the final minutes of games.
Obviously the Scunny manager is mental to suggest they deserved a point (my wording). He's just basing it on the fact their team gave everything.
We were far superior but we didn't turn that superiority into goals.
'Former players have been raving about recent performances': Yes that is flattering but we need to turn it into 3 points.
It's good to have plaudits and that compares well to recent previous Blades teams and the comments made on them.
We need to be relentless in our approach. We haven't been nicking games, we have been dominant.
This means to stick to the way we're playing and hopefully the results will keep coming.
On there being 4 teams now in contention:
Teams will come with runs towards the end of the season (he's said this before).
But there are tough games for everybody.
If we win at Bolton it will be another 3 points. Things off the pitch have deflected from what Bolton still have going for them in terms of top players and good facilities.
They have a senior group of players that have played in the premiership and the championship.
They will prepare professionally and will be the biggest test of the season.
They have players that are good in both boxes and that's where the game will be decided.
They have the best defence in the division at one end, and have players to hurt you at the other end.
But they will be doing the same for us in terms of preparation and will know our capabilities.
On Madine: Sharp's our captain. Lack of respect.
Social media has its vicissitudes.
Madine isn't my player. If one of my players did that before such a game I'd be pretty disappointed.
Leaves it at that.
We are professionals and we respect our opposition.
Billy's been outstanding and in great condition.
It doesn't give us any extra motivation. Our motivation has been to play with pride for the club.
I generally don't need to gee our players up. I never ask them to run around. They just do it.
When we don't win it's either individual mistakes or the manager picking the wrong team (I seem to remember a Brian Clough anecdote about this)
It's the amazing support that lifts the team and last week was special.
We're looking for more of the same this week.

He run into the post whilst trying to score. Causing a gash to his head and disclolated shoulder as I posted the other day on the can we beat Bolton thread

Step up Kelly then, if needed.

CW also said he doesn't mind players having a drink after a game, win or lose we are all human.
Wonder how he feels about jumpers draped over shoulder and lollipops?

I think he quite liked Haircut 100 back in the day
