People need to remember the Prince is ESL, if Wilder had said "we've got a great foundation of good players, so in the next window we don't have a lot to do, so we'll look to add 3 or 4 quality players to continue our development and raise our levels." people would eat that up, and it's the same thing.

In fact that's quite similar to what he said in the JTW last season.

I think that if he had just said we will give CW the funds to improve the squad that would have been enough. Number of players and their abilities is CW domain IMO

He’s probably discussed with CW what needs doing with regard to players.

I think he’s right that we need to look to bring in better quality players even if it means around 3 rather than 10 of more moderate quality. Even one top quality player can make all the difference.

... is this not going to rock the boat a little from Bettis who created the deal? plus USG who have a contract in place and in my eyes have done us well as shirt sponsors (i.e. changing there logo to suit club identity, changing landing web page and generally made a fuss of us)

Words cost nothing, and his attempts at avoiding having to buy the properties by jiggery pokey with his shares do nothing to reassure me about his integrity character or honesty.

I'm reserving judgement on this one.

Everybody is aware that we need to improve, I've this dislike of Owners/club employees making claims that fans take as written in stone, keep it close to your chest and do it.

When Kev helped himself to BDTBL this was always going to happen.

Helped himself to what was rightfully his, what he’d payed for and help build? Or should he have just given up half of that for a £1? The ground/hotel/academy didn’t need any investment whatsoever considering we were in league 1.
If he is capable of funding these purchases with his own money, then why not do it even if we aren’t relegated and give Chris a bigger pot to piss in?

I agree but it does make you wonder where the club would have been without CW, who took over from Adkins when we were on a downward spiral.

Bramall Lane was there long before McCabe came along, it belongs to the Football Club not an individual or made up company.

In the other corner there was an unopened rowing machine that got bought in the January sales 6 years ago, some boxes with all the academy players school work in, and a suitcase full of old shoes that really should be thrown away.
