Yes they do. But after years of being a Blade it's possible to get a bit negative.

Somebody will be along soon to say that we didn't need to spend £1.5m on a defender last January - conveniently overlooking that, whether it was the right signing or not, the club spent good money.

Theres only 1 player (JohnMcGinn) in the last 3/4 years I can remember that we might have missed out on due to being accused of a derisory bid.

People resort to these boring and repetitive jibes/jokes because they are impatient and have the face on because its not like when they play Football Manager.

Why should they tell you? genuine question and one I never understand, people get so pissed off at undisclosed deals, or wanting to know what add ons, sell on clauses etc. What does it matter?

Get married. Forget your other halves birthday and anniversary every year. Remember it after 5 years and buy her a fabulous ring (if she hasn't already got one).

Next year see if she is expecting a gift from you or if she's going to let you go back to forgetting.

PS. I appreciate for a proper analogy you'd have to pawn the best item from her jewel box every year as well but . . . . . . . . .

If we made those sort of bids for players in our league or league below clubs would sell - if we are making those sort of bids for teams players in Prem or Championship it's no wonder they're turned down.

But that analogy doesn't really reflect things properly if we're talking about the current board.

Some fans wouldn't be happy unless we show how much money we have, how much we make, how much we want to spend, which players we are after, what we value them at, what we bid, the structure of payments, how much the other club want, players wage details/account numbers/mothers maiden names.

Wasnt aimed specifically at you, but at football in general, happens up and down the land. Literally, football fans will never be happy. No matter what. We could piss this league, piss the next, get to 4th in the prem and there would still be a small group of fans moaning about something to do with the club... if not player purchases, price of pints, standard of pies, red stripes not thick enough.
