Well I for one, am pleased very little seems to leak from the club itself these days - a far cry from the Clough and Madkins reigns when every target was well known.

Whether Nixon gets things most right or wrong doesn't really matter, his network (agents, journos, players, club officials etc.) no doubt provide him with some insights.

The 2 key targets should absolutely be Oli McBurnie and Ollie Watkins both players have excellent resale profitability so they're the lowest risk in my eyes although they’ll be the biggest transfer fees

Thing is I reckon Ricky has more accurate insight into probable signings than Nixon and Ricky probably has less to go on but the difference is he is prepared to put some time in looking at stats, looking at footage etc. It's another case where an amateur has more interest in the situation than somebody who is paid to come up with the answers/speculation/something of interest.

Wilder/Knill

Going to have to go for a few squad fillers on 1 year contracts, a couple of loans and then maybe 3 big buys that will be starters.

Can we loan from the championship? Maybe take a player from one of the relegated clubs that they can't afford to keep on the wage bill for a season.

I wasn’t keen on signing Craine but his promotion experience was invaluable in big games. My only concern is I don’t think Jags would want to be a back up player for a lower end prem team.

I wonder if we'd go for a bit of a risk and try and sign someone like Josh Maja as an impact player in the dying embers of games. Hasn't quite worked for him at Bordeaux but has shown amazing potential in England while at Sunderland and can't imagine wages would be astronomical for a loan

Also Reo Griffiths at Lyon... scored 34 in 34 at Tottenham youth level and left.. was rated as one of the best prospects at the club... another speculative cheap loan?

I think this is bare minimum. and im basing this on the Bleacher report video where CW and AK had 2 players for every position written down on paper. 8 minimum and more likely 10

Based on the spaces we agreed on, some semblance of realism and the best suggestions I can make within that I have come up with this list of options for fun, with a view to signing one per position (personal preference going from left to right):-

GK: Henderson
RCB: Holgate / Adarabioyo
LCB: Barbet / Lenihan
LWB: Connell* / Dasilva
CM: Phillips / Harper
CAM: Palmer / Dowell
ST: Robinson / Adams / Assombalonga
ST: Rodriguez / Watkins / Roofe

*I believe the apparent interest in Luca Connell is likely due to the fact that he can play both in midfield and as a full back. On that basis quite likely that he can adopt the left wing back role if required.
