Update from Trevor Birch

Read on another site about a conversation between the editor of this site and Trevor Birch, so thought i'd summarise on here for people....

Talks are ongoing with a number of targets.
Trevor confirmed that SOD is the top target but has concerns over how much time the fans will give him to get his style of play across.
Talks with Micky Adams are continuing.
Phil Brown has been in talks but (and to quote from Trev) "I wouldn't put your money on Phil Brown being our next manager".

I had to question how true this was but due to the nature of who was posting (the equivelent of Foxy or Linz), I can believe it.

Interesting views have kind of confirmed what we kind of knew plus has thrown phil brown out of the race it seems.

Just curious as to why Birch would disclose very sensitive information(Adams and SOD are currently in jobs) to someone who would publish the conversation on a forum...I find this difficult to believe especially the ' 1 wouldn't put money on Phil Brown being our next manager'......maybe I'm just a cynic

Got to agree. Sometimes I get insider infomation from two good friends and wouldn't dream of posting until after the event has happened or not in some cases.

I'm sure Trev's chuffed that someone has gone and posted it straight on the net. No wonder he is so wary of online forums.

If true (and we have no reason to believe otherwise) I think Trev thought he was just discussing it with a fan gauging public opinion.

Which means it's not true. Why would he discuss business sensitive information with a fan?

I think he was trying to find out fans perception. I can see him doing it although comments about Brown make me seriously doubt it.
