I rarely post on the forum but after Watford away yesterday I posed the question have mcburnie and Robinson improved the team. The performance left me wondering do we have the balance right between defending from the front, having the forwards chase defenders to try and regain possession or saving energy for when we break from our own half. The timing of the subs seems crucial at the minute Sharp and mousset added much needed impetus. Watford had a different type of player in deulofeo, could this attacking /winger style of player be the piece of the jigsaw we seem to be missing

We had a different type of attacking midfielder on the bench. Difference he wasn’t used unlike Delofeu

The gap is so big between the midfield and strikers. They have to hold it up and wait an age for the wingbacks to join them....Duffy used to be the go to guy for the strikers and we’ve lost that option now. Watch our highlights last season, Duffy might not actual be the assist maker but he’s a massive part of the build up.

Totally agree.

I thought Freeman would be used more in this role.

Understand the flat three for a number of games but its hampering our attacking intent and forcing us to almost constantly look out wide where we still pass up ample crossing opportunities with people in the box.

I appreciate it's a conundrum because what you may gain you may lose elsewhere. Not scoring goals though will cost us even if we're generally sound everywhere else.

OMB didn’t win one header yesterday he had two chances to run at their defence and was out muscled on both occasions then spat his dummy out
