¡No Pasarán!
Zero minutes for Cannon just happens to coincide with the first home win of the season.
"It's a praise for Chris Wilder... "
He will probably start one of the next two.

Laurens Ten CannonHe needs to get out of the squad. He’s just cost us that goal from NOT LOOKING INTERESTED. This idiot has not looked one bit bothered for 1 second since joining this club. If he was from the youth he’d be GONE! He’s been here since January, it’s October! He’s the worst striker I have ever seen at a professional level. You look at Ings tonight and you can tell he’s frustrated with the game/he’s making runs forward/sniffing for chances/coming short. Then I look over at him and he’s just a sorry excuse of a footballer. Wilder, this is his Marvin Johnson v Bristol moment, it’s over for him.
One positive i can think of is there are 91 other clubs in the English league system he could play forThe guys confidence is shot! Let's focus on the positives!!
He sets off 10 yards in front and finishes 10 yards behind over 5 yards! He is deliberately slowing down so the defender can get between him and the ball. He is terrified of physical contact, of going shoulder to shoulder.
I said the same, I think the oppo defenders are that comfortable by the time he comes off that they aren’t ready for an actual footballer coming on to replace him.The uplift when he comes off is tremendous though. Perhaps we should just play him for 20 minutes at the start of games and then benefit from how galvanised the team is once we take him off?
Or - send him on loan in January - to Tesco’s or Sainsbury’s - shelf-stacking.One positive i can think of is there are 91 other clubs in the English league system he could play for
Oi I used to do that at tesco when I was a student - there's no way he'd be able to lift a carton of dog food. And he'd miss the shelf!Or - send him on loan in January - to Tesco’s or Sainsbury’s - shelf-stacking.
Brewster was 10x the player Cannon is. His main issue was he was just injured all the time. He actually added something to the team when he did play last season and looked capable of doing the basics of a footballer. It’s never nice to see someone so clearly struggling like he is. It’s one of them moves that just hasn’t worked out. There’s got to be a player there, he’s scored goals elsewhere, we haven’t seen it but there must be!
He needs to go out on loan Jan 1st for his and ours sake! We can’t keep persisting like we did Brewster I hope we have learnt from that.
Like others have pointed out I get the feeling he never wanted to come in the first place and was pushed by Leicester.
He’ll come good. With recycled players like Cannon, Ings, Davies, Shackleton maybe Reinwold now fully all fit and ready to rip the league a new one we will be int playoffs by Christmas. Was so chuffed with the result I forgot to update everyone's favourite stat thread. So here they are, the numbers you've all been waiting for:
In the 1136 minutes Tom Cannon has been on the pitch for us since he joined in January 2025, we've collectively scored 11 goals. That's 1 goal per 103.3 minutes.
In that same time period we have collectively conceded 22 (1 goal per 51.6 mins).
Blades Goal Difference with Cannon on the pitch = -11
Tom Cannon has contributed 1 goal and 1 assist in those 1136 minutes.
