It's simple .....everyone's away kit has to be white, that way only 2 kits are ever needed. If the home team's kit is white the away team just wear their home kit.

So do teams in white have no away kit at all? Cheap for their fans!

Though it's important to note no one forces any fans to buy this 3rd kit.

Just like they were going to ditch the 0871 number...

They have been saying that for a while. As Boo remember at a Q&A session that was posted on here that took place possibly at the Cricketers, They said the phone system was about to be overhauled. It turns out that that was a run around answer and just pacification during the meeting. Could we ask the club what they have done to 'overhaul' the telephone system?
It seems to Boo that a listing of standard landline numbers is about to hit 'SAY NO TO 0870', if they don't come up with a better system.
a little teaser for those who show an interest from the club would be the shop landline number with 31 in it. They are nearly all available.
You still get charged £1 when all they do is activate a membership card for a particular match rather than post the ticket out.
Because Boo wanted clarification. Boo has just been in touch with the ticket office (on the landline number that Boo has), and you get charged the £1 booking fee if you book over the phone for any ticket type per 1 transaction. If you call in person to buy your ticket of any ticket type per 1 transaction you do not get charged it.

....So they didn't realise this when opting for black away? Like bollocks they didn't, a planned move this...

Can corroborate that fella - I was informed last season (March iirc) that we'd be having a 3rd kit for this season by someone quite 'high up' in the Club. No matter, I actually like it - plain, simple and white; just like me really

Boo finds it funny you have to clarify that coming from Bradford, hee hee.

Diplomat also is concerned by Olle's knowledge of James Blunt ballads. Diplomat hopes not to discuss such ballads when Olle treats him to some fine hand pulled ale on one of his future trips to this fine city .

Sothall Blade is wondering why everybody keeps banging on about James Blunt when the song in question is "Broken Strings" by James Morrison (Feat Nelly Furtado)?

SellyOakBlade remembers a time when the Ticket offic could be contacted on

0114 221 1889

SellyOakBlade liked this number as it was easy to remember.

Swissblade is concerned that Sothall actually knows that!

Sothall Blade likes that song and is not ashamed to admit it.
Although he does prefer to hear the whole thing rather than the first two lines repeated ad-nauseum.

Olle now knows why he could not download 'that Sheffield United ticket office tune' by James Blunt for his i-pod!!? Olle wishes he was as savvy as Bert, as he would surely have found out that it was James Morrison. Olle is now James Morrison's number one fan. Olle would like to know who this David Blunt is. Olle thinks that it might be Brownie's half brained friend, but he is not sure. Olle would like to thank sothall for being in know. Olle would like to ask sothall if he knows anything about business accumen, so that Olle can find out and be more lik Bert.

Ted Danson thought the tune was by Take That but is now happy in the knowledge that he knows Feck all about bland pop music

You also get charged £1 if you book on the internet and they merely activate your membership card for that particular game.

Bert's memory is not sure but it thinks that it is described as a Booking Fee

Ah right. Which rather equates to admin, yet the entire process is automatic - untocuhed by human paw.

That is a cheek.

Bert's memory is not sure but it thinks that it is described as a Booking Fee

Balham is used to Bert talking about himself in the third person but moving to the second person to talk about his memory is a whole new concept, possibly for the entire English language.

FWIW, Balham vehemently disagrees with the use of 0871 numbers and would rather they put the ticket prices up by £1.

So I have to send a big thank you to Bert. Because of your inconsiderate behaviour with the ticket office and refusing to pay £1 per minute to get tickets, the club has now had to resort to bringing out a 3rd Kit. The so called 2nd away kit has been launched.

Now that is a reason to have a go at the club for ripping fans off! Another Bloody white kit!

Alcoblade is pleased that the club has brought out a 3rd kit. Alcoblade is well capable of saying no to his kids, and so it wont cost him a penny. Given tht the alternative (other than the money tree) is to put up ticket prices, Alcoblade wants the club to raise as much as it can through tacky merchandise that some have to buy just because little Timmy stamps his feet.

Berks_Blade thinks SUFC are still amateurs at ripping off fans compared with Ticketmaster, who recently charged a delivery fee of £5 (or was it £7?) for a concert ticket Berks_Blade had to print out himself!

Berks_Blade also wonders why leaders of industry can't manage to plan ahead and call from a landline where phone charges are rather more reasonable than from mobiles.

SellyOakBlade booked tickets for Michael McIntyre a year and a half ago and was told when he phoned up this week asking where the tickets were for the event he was due to attend next weekend, that he would have to pick them up from the box office, because he was sat in the first 9 rows.

Suffice to say a lengthy "conversation" ensued which resulted in SellyOakBlade telling ticket master where they could stick the £4 he lashed out on a mandatory "delivery charge" at the time of booking, on top of the mandatory booking fee...

We launch a 3rd kit this weekend (all white) to be worn for one game of the season, away at Bournemouth!

So they didn't realise this when opting for black away? Like bollocks they didn't, a planned move this.

I've said it hundred of times and I'll say it again. Simple regulations like the ones below sanctioned by the football authorities can kill the 3rd kit phenomenon instantly.

Rule 1. All away kits must not contain any colour found in the home kit.

err, that's it!

... and the shorts may contain nuts.

Balham Blade thought that it would be a good time to drag this thread up as he received a call from a very pleasant chap at Sheffield United on Saturday morning who sold him a ticket for the Leyton Orient game.

Balham Blade wonders what Bert has done to offend the staff in the Ticket Office as this is the second time SUFC has called him to sell tickets. Obviously this method of ticket sales would not work for everyone as there is no chance to listen to the opening 20 seconds of an annoying song, a facet of the process thoroughly enjoyed by people such as Ollessendro.

The cherry on the top of this transactional cake was that the chap did not charge the £1 telephone booking fee either.

Highbury_Blade is pissed off at Sheffield United for not offering the same level of service to him as has been offered to Balham Blade.

Instead of spending a ton on tickets and Ale this Saturday, i shall be therefore spending an equivalent sum, going out on a boat and Scuba Diving in the English Channel.

As Darren lives nothing but a few miles from Leyton, he was expecting at the very least SUFC to lay on a limo for him and the current 5 other inhabitants of his house (all female, 3 human and 2 cat) to take them to the match with the said limo to be driven by one of the players wearing nothing but a loin cloth.
