As soon as I saw the line-up I knew that I had made the right the decision to stay at home after memories of Blackburn and Barnet. I can't stand seeing players stealing a fat, bloated wage packet

Not sure, it also said ‘looked more bothered than others’ so that’d rule out K Freeman

Yes I meant L Freeman for the latter one. I thought Kieron actually was one of the better of a bad bunch...thought Luke was worryingly poor. Looked slow and carrless on the ball

Careless!! Borrow some of my e's if you want :) I think k Freeman has gone, both our wingbacks offered nothing. Osborn was too busy helping bryan out and freeman just doesn't seem to have the hunger anymore. L Freeman just had an off night with a few others I think.

No effect on the result ,but the lineman on John street was hilariously bad ,one offside he didn't give when it was 2 yards away was unreal ,he just looked like some dithering old twat they had dragged out of the stand.
The night wasn't a total disaster ,had a nice curry in Everest ,lemon/cashew rice goes beautifully with a curry.
There was one in the second half where Sunderland played it forward to their striker just inside our half to put him clean through, it looked like Stearman was playing him well onside but the lino flagged and the Sunderland bench went ballistic. Am I correct in saying that Stears was playing him onside? I wasn't directly in line with it.

I always say it looks like playing football is an inconvenience to K Freeman. He merely does it because he happens to be decent at it, never looks to be enjoying it.

Didn’t think there was a great deal ability wise between him and Baldock but that argument is out the window for me now. Wouldn’t trust Freeman in a Prem game.

Boils my piss with those players who look like they can’t be arsed. These fringe players will most likely now be on a minimum of £10k a week. Fucking arseholes. I would bin off every one of the twats now if it was possible and play youth players. By the way, Ravel Morrison is a bell end. All that talent gone to waste, he’s going to wake up one day when his career ends and see how he fucked up with the world at his feet.

For all the talent Ravel has if he was a player we had seen twice now without his reputation...you would say he looks miles off. Not sure I've seen much skill in terms of passing or dribbling. Wilder was getting exasperated by him last night. He was not even showing for the ball or trying to make thinks happen.

He seems to whinge on social media when he is not involved and then he plays and looks disinterested.

For me, the likes of Moore, K. Freeman, Jags, Stearman, Besic, Osborn, Morrison and Bryan proved we are in big trouble if they have to start games...if we get a few injuries to the back line I would be really concerned. They may be able to play 10-15 minutes at a push as fill in but regular games They are mid table Champ players at best.

I was surprised how poor Jags was last night. He was just lumping it. I think as great a servant as he has been and steers...we will need a couple of quality defenders in January and the two wing backs back ups are a real drop off.

All in all...we need to avoid injuries for 3 months and then sign 3 or 4 quality players in January.

Was about to comment similar - thought Osborn was our standout player. Most importantly, he appeared to be the only player who was putting in a shift.

It's fookin hard to play WB in our system if the midfielder's aren't shifting laterally to offer support and that didn't happen last night until Fleck came on.

Special mention must go to the Freeman brothers last night who I felt were in a competition to see who could play the shittest...

My over-riding thought after last night was to be confused as to why we let Cranie and Coutts walk as neither Besic or Stearman/Jags/Bryan offer anything they couldn't....
... but Cranie, Stearman and Dowell, who all played in the even worse performance v Barnet (it really was worse, though that is difficult to believe), went on to play important roles in the promotion push last season. These cup matches tell us very little about the individual players.

Spot on HodgysBrokenThumb. Someone commented when the team sheet was released "that side would win the championship" - well maybe, if they played toegtehr repeatedly ovevr months. Last season we won the championship not cos we had the best side in the league but because of what Wilder somehow manged to cultivate in that group of players.* His sides always need a few games to get their shit togther - remember the start of the last 3 seasons? (another reason why i'm really pleased with our start in the Prem, cos Wilder sides always get better after the first few games). So when he throws a group of players togther who don't normally play together, or in many cases at all, they're bound to be shit.

*Postscript: just remembered. We didn't win the championship. Apologies to Norwich.

Guess that begs the obvious question as to why let them go? Based on the sample size of last night, the 'replacements' are no better than what was already here....
