I posted earlier in the season that i was asked by my daughter if i would take my grandson (who suffers from a mild form of Autism) to the Sty when his dad couldn't take him because of work commitments so i agreed.
I have seen them 5 times now, v QPR, Watford (yippee),Cardiff, Preston and Derby and how they are just outside the play-offs is unreal.
Either the standard is bad or they have been lucky. I would say a bit of both. I honestly can't see one Wendy player that i would have in the Blades team.
Windass has been getting a lot of plaudits for knocking in a few lately but his general play leaves a lot to be desired, and as for Barry Banana he's good with the long ball and that's it.
To be honest i'm starting to find it difficult especially having to listen to the anti-Blades comment from a donkey say just behind. and there's nowt i can do about it.
I hope to god my son in law doesn't have to work for the derby or i may have to go dressed in a straight jacket.:)

I think both clubs are underwhelming in performance but over performing points wise. We've a better squad, but they have an excellent manager, clearly extracting more than others have / could. It's a results business, so for the first time in 30 years both Sheffield clubs are arguably over achieving.

youve just confirmed my thoughts about wednesday derf theyve absolutely no chance of making the play offs if we had had anything up top in the derby game we would have buried em take bannon and windass out and their mid table at best actually even with those 2 in their mid table its its only rohl thats got em where they are

Credit to you for doing that. I know family comes first but Christ, that must be tough!!

Commendable of you to do this- 2 questions as you sit watching are you willing the opponents to score? and secondly if Wednesday score do you stay seated?

Whenever I have seen them on the box they have either been really lucky with the opposition missing numerous guilt edged chances (just how many sitters did Derby miss against them in both games for example) and they have basically scored with every shot they have on target. Check the stats every week and you'll see what I mean. They are currently riding a very lucky streak and are a poor team.

It won't last

For balance, you need to take him to BDTBL and let him experience the difference between an utter shithole regressive club and a let’s say more progressive club in SUFC, explaining that we have a better squad with home grown talent in the side, more expensive players and an altogether better football club

I’m sure he’ll eventually see sense if you apply yourself correctly derf 🙂

Absolutely want the oppo to score and yes, i remain seated. Do this for the love of my Daughter and grandson. Always come first in my life before anything, footie or owt. Hopefully maybe only 1 or 2 more from now to end of season as my son in law has a changed shift pattern, but i tell you it's bloody hard.
Before this season the last time i went to the shithole was when Bobby Davison played. First time was the Ron Springett testimonial about 1967 i reckon when we Blades met at Midland station, walked to the ground and went on their kop in the top left hand corner. Hid our scarves to get in and hid them on going out.
UTB!

Wednesday are where they are in the league due to the sheer amount of shite teams, something I am also grateful for.
They won't get promoted, as I have put 50 quid on them to go up. You're welcome everyone, you can relax now.

I think at watching 5 games of theirs this season at the actual ground you’re not even in the top 50% of pig watchers on this forum.

At least you’re doing it for good reasons, some people actually choose to put them on tv at home and watch them when they could be sticking red hot pokers down their piss tube instead.

I'd just refuse to go if I'm honest! If he wants to go to a football match I'd say I'll take him to the Lane and that's it! But that's just me!

Fair play to going but I couldn't do it!

You should negotiate a bit. For every one of their matches you take him to, you get to take him to a match at the Lane!
