Lineup was: Dewhurst, Baldock, Carter-Vickers, Heneghan, Graham, Thomas, Slater, Lundstram, Gilmour, Clarke, Hallam

It almost feels like we have a squad now...

I wonder what the formation was if you can help. I see C-V Heneghan and Graham as back 3, Baldock Thomas as wing backs and Lundstram as Defensive Mid;

I wasn't there, but my guess is we mirrored first team tactics and that Slater and Gilmour filled the centre mid roles with Clarke and Hallam up front.

In the first half we played CV left, Heneghan centre back and Graham on the left. Lundstrum was in front of the back three. Not great in the first half but at half time they swopped Graham to the centre and Heneghan on the left and even although he is right footed he was able to press forward and open up the game. Having said that Graham had a fine second half and looks comfortable in his regular position. It also helped when Smith replaced Slater who had a decent game after his lay off but needed to come off after he took a knock. Ti Smith then put himself about and unsettled the defence. Clarke scored a headed goal as he lost his marker and connected at the near post from a fine free kick
I liked the new faces and with Clarke and Nathan Thomas in the team we may be running the 23s more like the reserves.

Spot on with Heneghan and Graham swopping in the second hald

Sorry meant to add CP had a player Jordan Mutch who looked older than his 25 years but he was really impressive Looks like CP are going to put him out on loan after a spell with Reading. He really bosses the middle

Any watchers able to give a view on the performance of Nathan Thomas?
On the times I have seen him, he has quick feet but lacking in composure and speed of thought, definately too early for him to be considered for the first team?

Played OK but wasn't outstanding can't see him in the big team at this time

Interesting, One of the problems of 3-5-2 as I see it is that it has to be mirrored down the teams. A good left-back is little use to the first team if he can't bomb forward (as a example). Os it is good to see this team playing the same formation.

Was poor in the first half, much better 2nd (after a dressing room visit from Wilder!), drove at their defence at every opportunity.
Final bit isn`t good enough though, and although he has a hell of a dig on him, needs to remember there are better options than 35 yard shots on goal.

Someone should pass that on to Dele Ali and Oxlade-Chamberlain ;)

The whole performance improved in the second period. If that was down to the manager then it worked. Moving the defence around also help

Agree, he had that something about him which suggested he could play at a good level. Just the sort of player we should be keeping an eye on.
