it was an under 18s fixture pal. so Celtic u17s plus a few of their development 18 year olds.
Just the same as we would play minus Semple how played For our development at Sheffield FC yesterday.
good result to be honest pal.

Wondered if Celtic had sent their Dev squad down.
The CFC Dev Sqd beat Annan Athletic 5-1 in the Irn Bru Cup (equiv to the JPT) on Tuesday.
It'sd a similar format too, when SPL clubs enter their Dev/U20 squads in the tournament.

If there was a team sheet today, this is the side that beat AAFC ...

Doohan; Ralston, Wardrop, McCart, McIlduff; Ajer, Thomson (Hill); Nesbitt, Hendry (Archibald), Miller; Aitchison (Crossan).
Not Used: Hazard, Higgins, Johnston, Murray.

Didn't see a team sheet myself so can't comment in the make up of the Celtic team.
Thought our midfield looked tidy. The centre half's had a couple of moments of madness each but overall looked big and strong.

the team that played Annan are 19/20 year olds.

the problem with playing Scottish teams is that their age groups are by calendar year, so Jan 1st 1998 to Dec 31st 1998.
down south our age groups are 1st sept 1998 to 31st Aug 1999.
it means if we play an u18s game against a Scottish team we tend to be younger by 8 months or so.

hope that is easy to understand pal.

Understanding now, on reflection, a 1-0 win against a team of older, perhaps more physical,
is a top result.

Yes mate! I recognise Eden Hazard, John Higgins, Andrew beefy Johnston and Andy Murray. What the fuck is Hazard doing on the bench? And when did the other three start playing football?
