I just read on the OS that tonights match sponsors are East Midlands trains, Jesus! Whats going on at our club.
The spin on the OS makes me sick "They cover some of the most exciting destinations in the East Midlands including Sheffield, Manchester, Liverpool, Nottingham and Derby and operate the Intercity services from Sheffield to London St Pancras."
Why are we jumping into bed with such small time sponsors, surely we should be looking at getting match sponsors which can at least take our players to Swansea and Glasgow direct!
Ok so they've spent £10 Million on their station enhancement programme, but what do we see from this, a poxy matchday sponsorship? I don't want a single sponsor to come in unless they promise to make us debt free by half time.
McCabe needs to sort this out, how on earth is Collins going to travel down from Leeds today? Not with East Midlands trains I bet! Is that the reason why he didn't sign in time yesterday, because Leeds is not an exciting destination for East Midlands Trains, hence he came with a non afiliated transport partner (or by his own high performance vehicle)
So they now have a first class lounge at Sheffield Station? What good is this to us? We're paying 300 a season ticket at the lane. There's a recession on, don't they realise that they're rubbing our noses in it, we've dropped 4-5000 off our attendances because of the recession and crap football. Why aren't East Midlands trains ensuring better football at the lane.
Do the club want our support next season, this is ridiculous, I want to know what Birch is doing about this. I bet Wednesday & Southampton don't have these problems, they're laughing at this matchday sponsorship, laughing I tell you.
