My first job teaching English in Czech Republic was in a summer camp. Some bright spark had the idea of a 'talent show' so I taught my group (mainly older lads) the GCB song. Tied for fist place with some young girls doing cartwheels to Jean-Michel Jarre, so came up with a contingency plan.

I've always felt the final result was quite unfair as while the young gymnasts simply repeated their original show and took 1st prize, we learnt a completely new song from scratch in the space of 3 minutes. It went something like this...
"Alan Cork, Alan Cork, Alan, Alan Cork..."(you know the rest)
