Just seen that we are hosting some of the matches, probably was announced ages ago but didn't see it or a thread on it so thought it deserved one:

It's good that we're featured as a venue, I was going to go to the Rugby League World Cup matches until it was postponed so clearly a smart club strategy.

Hopefully we get a fair few attending and supporting the event :)

I've bought tickets for the semi final, Lionesses are a strong side so should reach at least the semi finals at which point it's a 50/50 chance as to whether they'd be at The Lane.

How did you manage that? I've created an account on the UEFA website and it says "No tickets currently available."

All temporary, but it'll be interesting to see what a quick 'modernisation' will look like.

The thing I like best about the women's game, is that they don't go mouthing off at the referee all the time. If he makes a decision earlier doors that they don't like, he just gets the silent treatment for the rest of the game. Pukka!

It would be interesting to see what level of mens football they could compete against.

That’s interesting that the dressing rooms get a permanent upgrade and it would be nice to know in more detail what the power and tech upgrades will be.

It is good for the city that’s we’ve got the games and the fan marches sound like a good idea.

In one tournament warm up the USA team, then regarded as the best team in the world, were beaten by 15 year old lads.

I'd imagine it's possibly a screen/area to separate the players from any male coaches while getting ready? So not really something we need.

Maybe says they’ve also done some cosmetic work even if it’s just a lick of paint then fair enough but maybe they’ve got new lockers and stuff as well

Apparently Shoreham St, Bramall Lane both closed on day of matches 12 mid day- 12 midnight !

Just gone past on 18 bus. There's a sign underneath the sign saying closure times will depend on kick off.

They're just popping all the branding on the ground now.

Saturday 9 July: Netherlands vs Sweden (Group C, 20:00)
Wednesday 13 July: Sweden vs Switzerland (Group C, 17:00)
Sunday 17 July: Switzerland vs Netherlands (Group C, 17:00)
Tuesday 26 July: Semi-final (20:00)

Also, anyone who compares men's football with women's clearly doesn't understand.

There are physical differences in athleticism and output. Any comparison is ridiculous. It's a different game.

If you don't like it, don't watch it.
