It’s been extremely rare for a while now for any players in contention of being in the matchday squad to be given time in the U23s. Think that’s been the case all through Wilder’s time with us.

Yep, think we make an effort not to use them for the seniors. There’ll probably be an behind doors friendly lined up for those that need the work.

I get that but whilst season is still new they're are a few players behind the main 18 in match sharpness.

With fewer midweek games i can see one or two being used. I suspect for now theres still a few behind closed door games going on.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get along to that one this afts. The U18/U23 fixture list just didn't come out early enough for me to squeeze it in. Pity, as that would have been a new ground tick as well. But, I will be trying to get to as many as possible & doing rough & ready match reports.
