(Apologies for Double Post - I'm now giving this game it's own thread - So Sorrrrrry)
In an unexpected outbreak of FOOTBALL. We're just getting our act together to set off for North Ferriby. We're expecting a big Carrier Bag Firm turnout at this historic fixture. The first game to be played by the Legacy Phoenix North Ferriby FC after the winding up order last season meant that the old club, North Ferriby United didn't complete their fixtures. What do we know..... Tyler Smith & Regan Slater appear to be training with the First Team. George Cantrill has gone. Jake Eastwood & Rhys Norrington-Davies are out on loan. Maybe Jordan Doherty is still out in the USA. Otherwise, the usual identity parade on Day One of the Development Season. Let's get at it.......
Stay Tuned.

More considered shit on my Blog in due course

North Ferriby themselves, understandably, are making a big deal of it

I understand there is even live commentary

Was intending to be in attendance, but busy week so canned it. Looking forward to hearing from you later :)

Have a good day, Phil. Plenty of factor 30 required I think

Hi Phil,
Interesting baseball blog, we’re there many septics there? When I saw the scores I did wonder if the outfield was big enough for baseball, it sounded a bit like T20 cricket with the boundary ropes well in, I just hope it proved a success. Sounded like an expensive night out if you were thirsty though.

Large, large numbers of Americans. IMHO, the large scores NOT down to a small outfield. Indeed, looked huge to me. It's Cubs v Cardinals next year

Hope there’s a better chance of getting reasonably priced tickets next time.
Not for me to say. But, there were £30 tickets available all the time. I only bought mine for the Saturday on the Monday beforehand. There's no such thing as Sold Out nowadays - just "none currently available". Sure, that "initial allocation' went quickly, but there were less than £50 tickets on sale at the Box Office on the day.

We needed 8 together so bought them from the initial allocation. worth the £500 we paid I'd say.

It was really enjoyable day out even fo the first timers, better atmposphere than a most of the games iv'e been to in the US.

Will try to go again next year.

I never tried a craft beer at Boheme. Sagres was flowing well with the company. Next visit(Sep) I'll try the mutha with the skull on the label. Can't remember its name. Death in Portugal.....lol! Frog&Parrot with Rogers and Out? No more craft beer for me. Too damn hot there so a refreshing pint of lager is good. 10 in the afternoon got me sweating though. It's the company..

Standard pre season stuff really. North Ferriby didn't really have many chances after that first minute goal. Miles in the legs for our players. As is the norm, I've written and published my Blog. In no particular order ... roll call & speculation along the lines of oooohhhh I wonder where he is, historic first game for a new club, three new faces, one did very well, who has got A Big Season ahead, why can't they make a Brown Beer, it's early days, ease yourself into the season here.....

We might have to give Ball_Sup (Phil) his marching orders.

This grubby 'real football' stuff was fine when we were in L1, but we have new better class friends now.

What would our Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur chums think of some oiks called North Ferriby?

Also all this stuff about beer is a bit common. Don't these little clubs have Pimms bars?

Thanks for that. I have a link with North Ferriby as my wife lived there when we first met and we still have very good friends living there. My godson learnt his football in their boys setup. He’s now at Scunthorpe having been let go by Hull and got player of the year in his age group. Great shame about them going under, l was told it was linked with the owners of Hull city and their obstinate mismanagement.
Interesting beer info. I know we all have different tastebuds but it’s good to hear what you think. I’m getting fed up off ordering beers that don’t live up to expectations.

I had been to the North Ferriby ground before, Hull City U23s have routinely played their home games there in the past. So, I've seen SUFC U23s there in a league game. (Did different pubs though, that's how we Rock...). I didn't know, but a mate of mine who I bump into at England Away games (lives in Scunthorpe, supports Leeds) supports both the Old & New North Ferriby as his non-league team. I was surprised to see him in the bar. Anyway - he tried to explain the debt, liquidation, resurrection, etc fiasco to me. I still can't make much sense of it - all for the sake of £8k.
