I was planning on going to that game but I backed off as I didn't think you'd recognise me deliberately;)

Hi Phil, how did Callum get on for his 45 minutes?
sheffielder he was steady mate. Set up in the middle of the three. Graham switched right. Got an early confident defensive header in. Looked on the pace. Had a good attacking header at a corner, narrowly over. Good (re)start. Hope it works out for him

Pleased to hear that. It must be truly awful at that age to get so close to making a success of your chosen career and then have it potentially snatched away from you. It must require a huge amount of mental strength to deal with it.

I was at Thorpe Arch when he was injured. So pleased he's back playing, it's been a long old time!

1 -1 was probably a fair result on a poor pitch, and my is it cold up there. The goal was a big positive with Smith and Hallam continuing to work well together and Getting Callum Semple back and playing well was also a positive. He must have great strength and he is testament to United's support during his recovery time
We will need a few additions to the squad for Monday night as this was a very young group of lads

At the start of last season Tufty said Callum Semple was a few months away from pushing for the first team. Great to hear he's back.

Might have been last night, but in previous games I've noticed some of the u18 scholarship lads on the U23 team sheet. Got to be about now that they retain or release the scholars

Good reports from my colleagues Baw Heid & Ihadadream - although I'm taking issue with the "fair result" - I thought Utd bossed it - & I was disappointed we couldn't get it over the line. Never mind. Lots of positives
Confident return for Callum Semple
Stephen Mallon stepping up
Lots of flowing football
A win v SWFC on Monday will put us above them into 2nd

to be honest - I got bored poring over how much money the Academy has or hasn't made for us - so, I thought Fuck It - I'm going to watch some football - novel hey - I did the Double Header - the U23s draw v Crewe in the afts & the U19 Futures Cup win away at Dunkirk in the evening - two of the SUFC Subs at Stocksbridge turned up in the starting XI at Dunkirk - selfish gits - never offered me a lift.....

Fuller stuff, with no accounts spreadsheets, but a bit of kickee ballee on the Blog

Was there a behind-closed-doors friendly this week? Seemed to be a suggestion that Evans, Freeman and Brooks would get some small amount of game time to continue their recovery – it’s an odd absence in that case, particularly for Evans.

I think that the team on Monday night will be a fair bit stronger than it has been of late which be good as we owe the Scum one, saying that they will shoe horn as many first teamers into the starting 11 as possible!!!
