Went to watch our U18s Saturday, at Barnsley before the main event at the Lane. Even though the 2-0 loss was unjust, it is now 9 consequitive losses for the youngsters. The weakest side we have had for years at Youth level.

Not surprising since the PL forced the FL to accept the EPPP two or three years ago. Wendy's u18s are not good too

I think you will find we have a very inexperienced under 18 s at present and with young lads being pushed through a bit early 12 months is a long time in the develoment of youth players and the experience they are getting now will do them well for next season hopefully.

Who? If you don't mind me asking...

Watched that young lad at Hallam , who as now i think gone to Ilkeston . Also the 3 young lads at Matlock are getting good reviews. Young uns are better off playing in the mans game for experience and learning curve , than tippy tappy U18 games. All look very good prospects for the future , but a lot can happen in a very short space of time . Lets hope they all make it .

Foulkes Jr played alongside one of the u18s* at primary school and he is an u16. It might be that the u18s are playing younger youngsters. The results are unimportant, if the players gaining gaining strength and experience. Unless they become demoralised. Didn't they get hammered 5-1 by Forest?

*Accurately described as playing football from a different planet at that age.

Other clubs are doing the same anyway

Jake Eastwood at Sheffield club is the only player missing, he's the first choice keeper. Khan, Banton, & McDonagh are at Matlock, but are U21 players, as is Jake Wright, who is at Ilkeston.
