Watched the u16s last Saturday. I left with about 25 minutes left as I needed to get home to Dronfield for lunch and then go to BDTBL. At the time the score was 1-1. Was that the final score? Who was the number 6 that scored our lovely goal from a free kick?

I was catching a glimpse now and again from the sidelines of the U18 pitch and I think it ended 2-3 (to QPR).

Thanks Foxy. I have a feeling that the number 6 who scored our first goal used to play for Worksop Titans.

Wasn't close enough to see unfortunately, only generally spotted the goals going in from the cheers :)

If I hear of the confirmed final score and scorers, I'll let you know.

The U18s lost 4-1 by the way, against a strong, organised and hard working QPR side.

Partodikromo got our goal.

I believe the U16s lost 2-1, Gilmour with the goal
Cheers, seemed more celebrations than that, unless there were any disallowed as I reverted attention back to the 18s.

Noticed in the OS that Paul Koroma started for the u18s last Saturday. Did he play at RB? When he played for Sheffield Sixes u12s and u13s, he played in CM. He played up front for SUFC Academy u16s this season but looking at the line up his name was after the keeper so did he play at RB last Saturday?

I didn't make it to the academy on Saturday and neither did DazBlade88 , so I'm not sure :)

Will keep an eye and let you know though.

Looking at the rest of the lineup and who replaced him, he definitely played at right back.

It's not uncommon when they're young to try them in different positions though. Like Jamie Carragher said... full backs are usually strikers, wingers or centre halves converted!

Thanks DazBlade88. It is around this time when Academy players are their having bi annual review. Some have already been told that they will be offered scholarship and they have been advised not to reveal the news in public as it is unfair for those who are waiting to hear of their fate but few SWFC u16s players (I was surprised about one of them as i didnt think he would go further than u16s so it is not SUFC's problem) have revealed in their twitter account that they have been offered scholarship! Not a wise thing to do, I believe
