Cannon was also a fans favourite at the 365 and they were gutted when he left.
I can’t understand why Leicester let him go if he is a goal machine as they need a replacement for that pensions Vardy(twat)

If you read some of the comments in the Stoke forum there was a general theme regards Cannon like
The early feedback was poor, he showed very little, then the goals came. However even after scoring goals the feedback was

‘he doesn’t really do anything apart from score goals” and
‘he’s not that good really, he’s very reliant on his team mates setting him up”

Other Stoke fans defended his saying he might not do much but he’s a great finisher and scoring goals makes him a massive asset.
For older fans these were the type of comments we used to say about goal scoring legend Keith Edwards.
He was the type of player, often in a game he’s do nothing and looked lazy, then he’d pop up in the last 5 minutes and score the winner from close range.

The Stoke fans rated Campbell more……but more regards he has obvious talent but his injuries stopped him from going on a run of form.

What a phenomenal player. How he was available on a free I will never know.

He's got everything you need to play that lone CF role.

Pace, power, movement, finishing..
He's pretty decent with both feet too.

That's another 3 points he's won us by putting it on a plate for Brewster.

Outstanding.
I don't think there's a better CF in the division. It's a shame we can't give him more service.

I feel safe in calling him a premier league quality striker

A lot of Blades fans made the same comments about James Beattie that they did about Edwards.

Campbell has talent but he is admirably humble , a prime example of the attitude and character which CW seeks in his signings.
Whilst I can criticise some of CW player choices on a strategic basis , I can’t fault his desire for the kind of personality which best suits our club dna and team ethos.
Sign of a proper humble, decent upbringing. People also speak so highly of his Dad.

Our most important player In my opinion ... 10 goals In 10 different matches , don't know the stats but most of them crucial , his goals per minutes one of best In the division.... Really feel he will make late push for player of the year ... Winner at Burnley perhaps

Early in the season he seemed to be able to score but the rest of his game wasn't hat great. I guess that was lack of playing time, as he's got better and stronger as the season has progressed. His movement and running recently have been fantastic.

Yep goals 0.70 per 90 puts him almost at 100% percentile.

Also means if had been available for all matches would have been knocking on 20 goals for the season.

A lovely player, I'll grant you, but sadly I think his record shows, that he is injury prone.

I reckon 20-30 games per season, max.

I'd really love to be proved wrong.

Reminds me of McGoldrick. Had an inconsistent career but he's got a superb football brain, knows where the goal is, clever, creative player. Absolutely tremendous for a free signing. Actually reckon if he can stay fit he could be one of the few we've got that can do it in the top flight next season (assuming we get there). Cooper, Anel, Burrows (maybe), Hamer, Peck, Souza, BBD (maybe, did OK last time) and Campbell.
