Ho, ho, bloody ho! So much for the promise that there would be no special offers this season, you either had to buy a season ticket or pay the full whack. It always was a crackpot idea.

Not that Bert will be taking up their kind offer.... his right hand man H is going on a month long cruise and is kindly giving his season ticket to Bert, plus Bert is about to head off himself to sunnier parts for a month.

All in all that will be upwards of a couple of hundred quid that the club could have had out of Bert but won't be getting now.

Credit where it's due - small step in the right direction.

I'd also like to see a really innovative half ST offer aimed at getting at least 3,000 lapsed ST holders back on board for the second half of the season.

Even at a heavy discount it would bring in more money than relying on them to go match by match (cos that doesn't happen), be good for keeping and growing the fanbase for future seasons and surely good for manager and players to have the play off run in in front of much bigger crowds and good for existing ST holders, build a positive vibe etc

If the club comes up with a similar half ST offer to last year then I hope they simply don't bother. The brochures and marketing cost them more than the income they got from it.

I know it's patronising but well done United on slowly coming round to the reality.

He did say that but after a few games he decided that it was a pain up the arse buying tickets per match so he bought a season ticket.

It is believed that he paid the normal price but he used that money he keeps in a large tin at home that the tax man doesn't know about.
