Trusty Rusty

Obviously any defender would have a tough time against Arsenal, but I’d bet there’s LBs in League One that could have given it a better go.

I actually feel bad for Trusty. I can’t see any issue with his attitude or commitment, he’s just horribly out of place in the Premier League.

Our recruiting team has brought in players who have no business being at this level and thrown them out against some of the best players in the world to get embarrassed.

Trusty as been an absolute disaster of a signing, he's fucking useless played at the centre , and whoever thinks he's a full back wants sacking! (Wilder) Heckys signing and at £5mill another reason why he wanted sacking!!

He was dreadfully out of his depth today.

Playing 4 at the back was ludicrous though.

His confidence is absolutely shot now.
He’s a player that needs support and stability around him. It was shear lunacy to put him at full back one on one with Saka.

Limited championship centre half at best
Might be useful next season then. Each of our LBs have made me laugh out loud this season. Actually feel sorry for the guy. I've been saying for a while that ozzy is our best lwb this season. More to do with the lack of defensive quality of the others.

I keep seeing people saying it was daft to play him against Saka but this is the same bloke that locked Salah up in Wilder’s first game in the same position. He was great that day.

He’s simply a confidence player. Which as a defender isn’t a good thing.

I think Trusty would work better in a back four with a competent left back alongside him. Anel is a disorganised shambles of a player, we've had endless problems at left back and Bogle in place of Baldock is another defensive shambles. That's left only Jack and Trusty to do a job until Holgate arrived. I'm not surprised Trusty's confidence is shot and I'm amazed Jack has still got any fight left in him.

If Holgate can be depended on then I'd rather see Osborn at left back, Holgate and Robinson at centre back and Slimane at right back until Baldock returns. At least he plays there for his country. The back three doesn't work anymore. Why play a defender who's a shambles and one with no confidence alongside Robinson, when we could play just one instead? Osborn isn't a bad option at left back and we can't keep letting Bogle make error after error.

Lacks urgency
Does not close down opponent quickly enough or get close enough. Seems to always be a yard behind play
He may improve or indeed be well capable in the Championship, but in the PL I don’t trust Trusty

bet Fulham thought it was Xmas
Bet Liverpool and Chelsea will think it's Xmas if we had left all our players on until they were knackered, if only we had the data from the sports bra's as those in the know do.

Fulham brought on 3 subs, all top players, we don't have such a luxury of squad depth.

All Wilder's fault though.

Wilder/Knill are clueless when it comes to closing out a game

Why do we insist on playing him left back. Has he ever played there before he joined us? He clearly can’t play that fucking role.

I know Auston made the bench yesterday, but i get the feeling Hecky does not trust Trusty or he thinks he's a bit rusty thru lack of game time.

Now we can all see that during the last three games mistakes have been made by mainly Egan and Robinson in stopping crosses reaching the intended targets and costing goals and possible points.

Pretty sure he will get a run out versus Lincoln,i want to see what he is about.

Looking forward to the Everton game they have a corner and freekick "target" Tarkowski (sp) he loves getting on the end of crosses and scoring goals.
The signs were there all along you got it spot on.

I just expected him to be so much better on the ball for £5m and playing for Arsenal previously.

Scary how bad a player of this fee and apparent “pedigree” can be….how the he’ll was he at Arsenal.
Seen nothing to suggest any ability on the ball, he’s big, seems quite athletic, but after that has a lack of ability with the ball and a shocking g lack of positional sense and decision making.

He may of course be completely devoid of confidence and this is the result, but one thing is certain that he’s not a premier league player and never will be.

When players don't mark up at corners, don't tackle properly or allow crosses to come in you cannot blame the manager. Why was the player left alone to have an unchallenged header for the first, goal, powder puff challenge by Norwood for the second and nobody bloccking the chipped cross for the third. It is mental and physical tiredness that costs us. We had three players down with cramp, subs made because players were spent. Good job we had three weeks off. Our training and medical record needs sorting.

The training video show just a smidge of what they do,i do i see alot of running sprinting, why do they need to do that at this stage of the season ? to me they should be just having relaxed kickabahts working on technical ability and playing Chess.

Not saying the lad is all that (confidence seems drained) but we could help him by actually playing the lad in the position that he did well in before we bought him. Why do we consistently bring players in after scouting?? them playing in a certain position before we try and change them into something else by playing them out of position. He's not a left back, he's not a left wing back, so can we stop playing the lad there. Play him at centre half or don't play him. It's that simple really. It's like us moaning at BBD being shit at shot stopping and handling crosses if we played the poor fucker as our goalkeeper.

Trusty can at a push play left back in a four and did it on occasion for Birmingham, but left wing back is a totally different position to left back where he's just effectively just playing as a slightly wider centre back. Osborn is the opposite, fine at wing back, but playing him in a back four would be stupid. If we want to bring a sub on who's hopeless at left wing back, just use Larouci.

100% only position he has a chance but only in the championship please take note Mr Wilder same with Norwood just let him go
