I’ve been a Sheffield United fan for nearly 40 years.

I’ve seen tyre kickers come and go, with big promises of investment, glittering global partnerships and stories of Jam tomorrow before riding off in to the distance when it’s been time to put their money where their mouth is.

I’m not getting my hopes up about this Mauriss guy, he might be minted and the answer to all our prayers but it’s more than likely he is just another Walter Mitty type.

Supporting Sheffield United, if owt is too good to be true, it probably is and I’ll believe it all when I see it with my own eyes

Newcastle fans thought the same as well. He bid more money and still didn't get Newcastle.

It's less welcome to Sheffield, more welcome to show me the money and prove you are not a complete bullshitter.

MLS is developing well and includes Canadian outfits. Having the opportunity for some of their international players to gain exposure in the Premier League / Championship can benefit their respective national and club sides immensely.

I can see a wealth or raw talent coming our way from North America over the next six to eight years if this goes through. And they'll have to be internationals to gain work permits! Though, with its new coach, we'll be competing with Leeds for some of this talent no doubt.

Watch this space. A new Alex Sabella-like talent could just becoming our way from across the pond (and I don't mean the Ponderosa 🤣 )!

Please read the thread - he built from scratch "Credit America Corporation" (Experian Uk equivalent) from scratch 1998 to sale in 2010. The company has been renamed but made $2billion profit last year - so he made a pretty penny when selling it. Speculation but reportedly he is worth $7 billion, certainly a step up from the prince.
