To be done indoors if people are on the pitch. On official site

Here's the thing. Stay off the pitch. It isn't difficult and it means the team can show the trophy off to everyone there.

Fucktards that go on it show once more the cult of me is more important than the greater good. Understood it at Northampton, doesn't need to happen tomorrow.

Spot on. It really annoyed me at the Bradford game when all the tracksuit-wearing mongaloid's pathetically 'invaded' the pitch and were giving it the big 'un to those of us who remained in our seats. I saw quite a few idiots on the pitch that day who haven't been to a United match for as long as I can remember but thought it'd be clever to turn up when we're doing well and then act like fucking morons. I guarantee that most of that lot were there for the first time this season.

I was proud of the scenes at Northampton,
Embarrassed by the ones against Bradford,
Angry at the ones at MK, and il be fuming if twats spoil it by going on the pitch Sunday.
I used the exact same word - embarrassed. What a set of tools.

The boooooooooooooos will be deserved this time. The Bradford one was unnecessary but it was the first home game since promotion and the first game since winning the title.

Pretty sure it will happen though, at least on a minor scale - those pitch selfies don't take themselves you know.

That is now absolutely clear - Wilder, who I think every Blade admires, says 'Stay off the pitch'. Perhaps he could be persuaded to address the crowd directly before the match or at half-time so that everyone knows that going on the pitch is going against his express wishes. I have no sympathy for anyone selfish enough to spoil tomorrow - the best day in years at the Lane.

Honestly don't see what all the fuss is about. So what if the formalities are delayed by 5 or 10 minutes?

And sounds on there like Chris is being pretty pragmatic about it, & as good as expecting it to happen.

It'll all get moved along, just like with the Bradford game, and then all the scripted stuff can start.

What'll be will be - why get stressed about it?

There's no stress just why do it? More important that the wankers run on the pitch for the umpteenth time this season? What if SYPD overreact and tell the team they don't go back out there because they can guarantee security (for instance). They do have form for being that way up and with health and safety ruling the world who would argue?

There is a "I will do as I like and bollocks to conforming" attitude which is getting worse, generation by generation.
The club say "please do not go on the pitch"
**** say "fuck you, I'm going on.....just to be a twat"

There are still some out there who are insisting on invading the pitch, and simply REFUSING to adhere to the wishes of the club which they are supposed to support.

Well, they don't support the club, they only support their own selfish, anti establishment behaviour.

i said before whats the point the 4th time, It like telling the same joke 4times brilliant at 1st but wears thin by 3rd/4th time, Northampton was amazing Bradford i just about got, MK Dons left a sour taste & seemed a bit disrespectful. chesterfield is just doing it again for the sake of it & i understand the indoor rumour because they have got to built the stage 1st & cant to that with few hundred selfish people doing it for the sake of it. denying everyone the picture opportunities we been waiting since 2005 for

i think the squad/wilder are tactfully trying to polite. As they dont want to have ago at fans to get off the pitch, although im looking forward to seeing if wilder goes full brian clough on the selfish gits, if are denied lifting trophy outside

As Chris says in that interview clip: "I totally understand their elation, their excitement, their jubilation, their enthusiasm to get onto the pitch to get their arms round the players because that naturally happens. But if they could, if possible, stay off the pitch and we manage to get round to the other people that can't get onto the pitch, that'll be great. But I understand that might not happen..."

No need for anything to be overdramatized. Nor for fellow supporters to be insulted or abused. No need at all for any bad feeling amongst ourselves about this.

Everyone's just out to enjoy themselves in their own way.

All that's at stake is the timescale being delayed slightly.

I once had a dog who went fucking crazy when the post came through the door. She lost all control over herself and ripped all the post to ribbons. Then, after a while, she seemed to regain her composure and, realising what she'd done, would act full of regret and shame. At first I was angry at her, but after some time I understood- she's just a simple minded dog, and cannot help it. I took measures to have the post delivered where she couldn't get to it.

Is this a comparable situation?

.

And that's ok by you even if their own way happens to be both anti social and illegal?

As a law abiding, socially responsible citizen it's certainly not ok by me.

But did she do it four times?

As a postman I'd have refused to deliver your mail and made you collect it from the D.O if she did.

If pillocks find the need to invade a pitch for the fourth time I'd let them.

I'd move the presentation indoors, film the miscreants celebrating how they want, then track em down from the film and ban the lot of em.

Disobeying the law has to have consequences or the law becomes irrelevant.

Exactly. There's a few utterly embarrassing posts on other social media sites about no-one is stopping me going on, you're all boring stopping people's fun, not real Blades blah blah blah.

Jesus how difficult is it to stay off after 3 previous pitch invasions when we've got a trophy presentation to look forward to. There's no natural reaction at all to go on tomorrow, only premeditation.

Proper pitch invasions happen in the moment, not discussed days in advance telling people you do what you want.

What, like handing out some letters and stuff so they can rip them open at the final whistle instead of coming on the pitch?
Might work.

Actually 3 or 4 police dogs loose on the pitch could provide some real entertainment.

I suppose the problem would be stopping them from invading the stands.

Er, no. No it's not.

Are you saying that the Bramall Lane post ought to be redirected?

She did it many times. It always happened inside the house, and was in no way a danger to the postie.

As in the anti-social and illegal pitch invasions at Northampton (and at Bramall Lane on the same day) and elsewhere? The ones that our lord Chris seems totally fine and relaxed about?

Soz, I'm with Christopher on this one.

You've obviously never had your fingers bitten whilst putting mail in a letter box.

I have many times, although I will concede that cats are even more dangerous than dogs.

so you will staying off the pitch as he has requested.

I have never complained about Northampton, or the beamback, but there is a time and a place and that time has now passed.

Not entirely sure why they don't just say don't come on the pitch, but being realistic, when asked let us cordon off an area in front of the south stand for the presentation
