It was a bit of a fad at that time and it did feel like fabric as I ran my hand over it whilst parked on John St.
As a side note I bought corduroy trousers from Horns early '64, reight ice breakers, happy days.![]()

Can anyone remember velvetex-at least I think that's what it was called. Trevor Hockey-Dai Fungus as he was known when he managed to get capped for Wales- certainly had his Triumph Vitesse covered in this dark green velvet type coating. Once on-it stayed on! I honestly haven't a clue at this time, they were from Horns and got a fair amount of handling,Standard or velvet corduroy though?![]()
