Not seen them at all but if we haven't got someone as good something's very wrong.
Jonathan Forte plays regularly at this level, certainly more than Reid, and it's hard to believe we've gone backwards since he came through.

Just remind me Lenny, which academy products did we sell for £8 Million during Jonathan Fortes time at the academy?

Oh, and just remind me how regularly Jonathan Forte plays at this level?

When do they train and play, I'm doing my first coaches course early next year and trying to visit local teams and academies to see the coaching styles in action.

Games are on saturday mornings, not sure on training, try getting in touch with Ron Reid he's the main man there

I'd also recommend a trip to the Football desalou or whatever its called - the Brazilian heavy miniball game. They used to train at the school opposite Thornbury Hospital - well worth a visit for ideas etc. Just google it and it'll throw up the local organiser.

Again, he was quite the opposite for me pre-season. Was great on the ball, electric pace and looked up far earlier than Cotterill allowing him to tailor the end product to the situation rather than doing the same trick/cross every single time.

I said numourous times that I thought he was the most exciting of the signings based on his time on the pitch.

Saw him a couple of times for Blackpool, and that was exactly my impression. He looked excellent and ran circles round Wolves' Stearman and got a lot of dangerous crosses in. Based on that I was delighted to see him sign, and he must surely get his chance now. I just hope we'll be a bit patient with him even if he doesn't look a superstar in his first couple of games.

Take it you'd be more than impressed if we signed Jono back then? Perhaps we should bring in Darren Moore to replace Killa? I mean he plays regularly at this level.

Er, I haven't written them off - the manager's already said they aren't good enough.
Or is it that you don't think Blackwell knows what he's doing? Judging by the way Naughton and Walker came through I'd suggest Blackwell's called it right, we don't have anyone half decent in the academy and that isn't really good enough.
I don't understand your Forte argument as it bears no relation to what I said.
