You were all superb. In a match that matters to few other teams and football fans, you were loud and proud.
You represented our Club with great honour. Never shut up and I am sure the players were inspired by your support.I certainly was inspired by you. Thank you from all that could not get there for your perfect representation.

Big shout out to the best fans in the world. You sang for the entire game, so proud of you and the team tonight. How fickle a mistress the blades are.

Tonight was my first match since the play off final 2 years ago. Kids, changing priortities and the fact that we're crap these days have meant I haven't gone much (cue bigger Blade slagging) but tonight reminded me why I love it.

During the first half of extra time I was trying to figure out the last time I saw United score...excluding the penalty shoot out of course. I think it was Feb/March when we beat Derby 4-2 at the lane (Craig Beattie scored the last goal I saw!!!) but I still loved every minute of the 7 games I'd been to in beween.

I was in a Fulham pub for a bit before the game and the ones by me seemed sure they'd win. Quiet as fuck during the game.

I have two children, and I have to say, that 119th minute goal was up there with the excitment of there birth!! We sung loud & proud and were rewarded with a stella performance by the lads.. I will never forget that goal and watching fans tumble 3 or 4 rows down screaming with excitement..
Now time for the throat recovery.. gotta say the half hour walk round london in the pissing it down rain was fun also!!

Just replying to show my new avatar. Thought the fans did us proud last night. The responses on twitter seemed to suggest other fans are starting to like us again. Help!!!!!!!!!!

I was with the Sunderland fans a few weeks ago at Craven Cottage, and was impressed with them - stood and sang all game on a nice Saturday afternoon. We did the same but better, for 30 mins extra, on a Tuesday night in dreadful conditions - it was a great move by the club to cover the away travel.

Urrrgh... booking today off was a very good idea.

All in all, a very good away match. Coaches didn't piss about and pretty much got straight down there, meaning that everyone could have a few looseners before the game, which helps the atmosphere somewhat.

It was me on Twitter that said I haven't heard United fans collectively that joyous for a while. Yeah, the game was probably one of the worst that a neutral will ever have to watch (read: Jacob Steinberg's MBM report in the Guardian to witness a slow descent into madness) but I don't care.

I just hope the team give us something to shout about on Saturday. How about the club offering a free pint from the kiosks to everyone who went last night to loosen up those vocal chords again?

That Steinberg bit is absolutely brilliant.

I can't help but think that he needed three pints down his neck and to be stood in the freezing, pissing down rain with the rest of us to see the full beauty of that game!

"Brammal Lane" sic

Also, honourable mention to the steward trying to quieten everyone down as we were walking to the coaches.

"Can you all be quiet please? People are trying to sleep!"

I did feel sorry for those living nearby. As I walked to my car down a side street I could still hear the fans on Fulham Palace Road.
