Attended my first away game for a long time last night and was amazed / delighted to see so many "cotton tops" amongst the Blades contingent. I'm no spring chicken myself (47) but there were a lot of 60+ people around me, which is really heartening given the division that we're in.
The atmosphere was great and the Rochdale fans received the respect that they deserved. The only negative (apart from the pies, which failed to live up to expectations) was the small group of teeny chavs who were making a nuisance of themselves by trying to get as close as they could to the home fans at the left end of the stand - the police would have been justified in giving them all a good clip around the ear. And now I am showing my age!!
