There have been a lot of different views on what our transfer policy should be for the remainder of the season. To stay up we'd need to win at least 10 of our remaining 19 games which is a phenomenal ask.

I’d bring in some loanies esp midfielders and an lcb that would help us improve a bit. Won’t keep us up but would hopefully get some wins and beat derbys record

I thought the signings for this season WERE for the future --- in the Premiership! To be faced with the current "perfect storm" of relegation / Premiership wage bill & the inevitable? "fire sale" of O'Connell; Egan; Berge; Mousset; McBurnie & possibly Brewster is about as bad as it can get - I hope! I think that the management team MUST hang on to the above mentioned as there is a chance that they will come good in the Championship.

Save the cash for the summer and hope we don’t finish as record breakers.

The chance of getting a decent loan signing or free transfer with match fitness, a decent attitude and willingness to play for a piss poor team is minimal so why bother?!

Needs a root and branch review of whatever policy is in place to be honest.

Almost certain it is resistance from the gaffer to a change in his “fingerprints on everything at the club” strategy that caused the uncertainty over his continued leadership a few weeks ago.

An honest appraisal grade of our PL recruitment would be in the D / E range !!!

That can not continue 😞.

I think we’ll be in a better position to attract the right type of players as Championship Promotion favourites than as Premier League relegation certainties 😉

Transfer policy moving forward should be, don’t give CW any fee above £5m to sign a player and appoint a DOF (Director of football)

HRH "Hello Chris!
CW "Hi Abdullah! I hope your well!?
HRH Chuckles... "Yeah not bad thanks! Heres your transfer money Chris. £0
CW "......."

Not sure any of those fit my feelings.

I completely understand those saying don't waste anything now and save it for the summer, but I'm genuinely concerned about the knock on effect that a second half to the season anything like the first half could have on next season.

It's easy to look at a potential squad on paper for the start of next season but you can't ignore the human side and mental impact on such a demoralising season.

A better second half to the season, even resulting in relegation, could result in renewed belief and confidence in preparation for the next season.
