Have United ever reinvested transfer money at the same level they have received!

In theory we have only spent £10million of the initial £20 million and would then have Nydia money and £12 million for Berge. The Prince refused point blank to say how much we received for Nydia ( for fear of clubs wanting more for their players - really) so lets say £14 million.

So altogether we would have at least £36 million to spend. Can you really see united spending that this season?

Obviously you can never believe everything you read but just for argument sake...

20m Budget
20m Ndiaye
12m Berge
= 52m in the pot?

5m Trusty
4m Traore
2m Slimane
= 11m spent?

So we've got 41m to spend now on 7 players? 🤷🤣

Only signing Doyle will go anywhere near appeasing folk over what's happening

Maybe the bulk of the transfer money is being saved for the next manager. Just a thought.

I believe the majority will , I'd understand it if some were put aside for January in case of injuries etc .
Also depends how the funds received are structured and if that works with how the purchases are structured .
However I would expect most to be allocated to transfer funds .

Think you how everything covered there 🤣

Whilst the current situation is difficult, the Prince has always put his money where his mouth is, he always said judge him on actions and not words, so the next week shall be telling.

I do believe him when he said the money would be reinvested, it’s just been awful management of the situation.

We just aren't proactive in the market. Not only should we have had a shortlist of targets, deals should have been done "in-principal" prior to player sales.

Luton have bolstered their Championship squad, Burnley have improved their Championship squad. West Ham have deals in play, we've waved off our best two players...

The ideal list would be; 2 CM's, 1 CAM & a striker.

I'd love to go into the 3pm Saturday kick-off with a midfield of; Slimane, Souza, Doyle. and an attack of; Hamer, Benie & McBurnie. But, I'd be in fantasy-land, I'm sure...

According to Hecky today on Talksport he has a shortlist of targets for eventualities and he has given it to the board and is awaiting the outcome ?

No good putting some cash aside for January, we could be dead and buried by then.

I didn't hear PH on TalkSport, I was hoping it would be up on Youtube, or the clip would be on here. I'd hope they would back him & his shortlist of targets. But, I did see the quotes. Him being unaware of Berge not being there yesterday till the morning off. But, it doesn't sound like the board gave him notice...

Some football fans really are only bothered about how much is spent.

What if we spend £40m? What if we spend £35? What if we spend £20m and unearth some great players, as we did with Anel?

What if we spend £100m+, like we did last time, the main reason we are now having to cut our cloth?

How are you going to get your kicks when the transfer window is shut?

I realised of course this was a " we don't trust PA " thread ,I thought I'd entertain it with an honest answer just for a laugh .
For example if we're £5m short of the assumed and unknown figure because no one is available or needed that's fine and will give us some spare for any Jan reinforcement.
We can't actually be buried by Jan, that's just factual not an opinion. Some of us old enough to remember winning our 1st match of the season the week before Christmas and staying up .. statistically unlikely to repeat but possible.
As to the amount " received " which was the original question we don't know what that is .. we can guess at the amount agreed in full but what we've actually received to date remains unknown.. not being pedantic just answering a question as posed .

Our current spend (including Souza) if the reported fees are correct is £21.3 million, if we use the high figures for Berge and Ndiaye that’s an extra £35 Million. If we sign the 2 we have been linked with (Hamer and Smallbone) that’s a spend of £22 million. So it would be £43.3 million spent on just transfers not including loan fees, wages, agents fees etc. With still 2 domestic loan spots free

Can you break down the £21.3m spend?

With players out of contract needing to be sorted still if don't all go on new players

Here he is, the pig stirring the pot again with absolutely no substance..

Are you saying we'll spend it? I keep seeing Blades Tweeting about how good we're gonna be when we've signed all these players (as if we've signed them already). Deluded.

Of course, Souza a reported £10.3 million, Trusty a reported £5 million, Benie a reported £4 million and Slimane a reported £2 million

Thanks Billy.

I think the trusty deal is the only one which is accurate. The rest are total fees including add ons. I don’t believe Souza is close to 10m.
