I think we have to believe Blackwell, and that he thinks we have a winning squad. So the real challenge is hanging onto players and filling gaps where possible. All in all this looks like a quite transfer season.

Bad news TBH. While the rest of the League are strengthening there squads SUFC decide to stick with what they've got. Everyone knows we need a Centre back, a right back & a creative mid. Why let everyone sign the best players when wee left to pick over scraps???
How do we know that we aren't picking out the best players once they become available?
I do agree we need certain positions, and they are ones highlighted by yourself, however just because we're not signing a shed load of players doesn't mean this is a bad thing! How many teams sign players they regret buying? So this "strengthening" is not always the case. Clubs will inevitabily lose players, and this will be the real test in ensuring we keep hold of the players we want to keep hold of, and moving along the deadwood.

Oh yeah im not saying we should panic buy. But we should be asserting ourself on the rest of the league. Im also not saying we should spend daft money. But a signing of someone like cotterill will show the fans & the rest of the League we mean business. If only to keep season ticket sales going???
It's not doubted that we need someone like Cotterill; we also need defensive backup too.
But Blackwell has stated that we're in talks about Cotterill already, and who knows what else is going on behind the scenes?
If we'd have bought some of the crap that's been touted around recently, fans would have been moaning that we'd been wasting money on rubbish - KB and the board are in a no win situation!

Be patient-I'm sure we will pick up a couple of players, we haven't even hit July yet
