Just can't see us paying the wages, you've got average championship players on 30-40 grand a week, we'll never pay anything like that.

but is that how he'll get or he'll spend? They might flood him with that, but just spend a fraction of it...........Already posted,

Kitty stays or my season ticket goes in the bin

I think that being a bona fide PL club rather than a potential one will make it a tad easier to get a loan from a non-mickey mouse bank at a lower interest rateAs I understand it, money in the premiership is not dished out up front so significant pre season investment either needs a sugar daddy or a loan and we saw how easy it wasn't for us to get a loan a bit since and having to go to mickey mouse bank at high interest rates.
Hence not a lot without movement on the ownership issue.
Why?
We now have a much bigger revenue than any Championship club.
So if, as you say they are paying 30 to 40K a week, then if we have a much much bigger income
Then surely you can see why it’s illogical not to spend it, as we can now easily afford it.
The key is putting in relegation clauses and whether transfer targets will accept a salary reduction
But next season we can easily afford to pay players 50K a week, which Is 2.5 million in wages.
What’s 2.5 million between friends when annual revenues are 150 million.

£10m transfer kitty
£100m booze kitty
We have to be very careful. Start spunking 40k a week on wages and then get relegated we’re as fucked as everyone else who does the same and gets relegated. Parachute money only takes you so far.
20m max including loan fees and wages
In this situation it’s probably best to look at all the other promoted teams and see what amounts they spent (data taken from Socerbase).
In 2017 the promoted clubs were as below; in their 1st season in the PL
Newcastle first season spent 34.25million, sales 13.8 million = NET SPEND 20.45 million
Brighton’s first season spent 53.8 million, no sales = NET SPEND 53.8 million
Huddersfield first season spent 29.8 million, sales 5 million = NET SPEND 24.8 million
Just for interests sake in their 2nd season
Newcastle spent 30 million, sales 14.2 million = NET SPEND 15.8 million
Brighton spent 58.5 million, sales 3.9 ,million = NET SPEND 54.6 million
Huddersfield spent 22.5 million, sales 10 million = NET SPEND 12.5 million
In 2018 the promoted clubs were as below and their transfer spending was
Wolves first season in the PL spent 48.9 million, sales 12 million = NET SPEND 36.9 million
Cardiff first season spent 21 million, no sales = NET SPEND 21 million
Fulham first season spent 108.3 million less 4 million sales - NET SPEND 104.3 million.
The above table is evidence that during the last 2 seasons in the first season in the top flight 6 clubs have spent a total of 261.25 million. That puts the average net transfer expenditure at 43.54 million.
The lowest any club has spent is 21 million by Cardiff last season.
Even penny pinching small club Huddersfield had a net spend of 24.8 million in their first season 2 years ago.
Do people really still think we’re only going to spend about 10 million on transfers?
Yes some do. They wallow in their Bladey Inferiority Complex. Others just say they do as part of an ongoing agenda against the club they claim to support..
some of our fans being overbearing and arrogant.
What will we do with the other 140 million ?Extra £30m on top of existing wage bill
That £30m will be for fees and include any increase in wage bill
A few players will leave to reduce existing wage bill however
It’s a cross between that and ‘air your agenda’.Is this one of those 'guess how many sweeties in the jar' threads?
We won't give anybody 40 grand a week just won't happen. He'll not want to upset the applecart by bringing big earners in when everyone else is on what 10-15k?
If people think we'll spend 10 mil on one player i think there in for a shock.
What will we do with the other 140 million ?
If we had 30 mill and we tried to sign the best championship players that would get us at best 3 players. Giving the lads a chance is fair enough but we still need numbers. In Wilders latest interview he’s already inferred that when we were promoted from league 1 everyone said we needed to spend big on better players but he decided to give them a chance to impress and many met the challenge.
Next season Wilder is going into the unknown, so initial transfers are a bit of guess work.
Think we’ll spend a fairly modest 30 million, mainly on the best Championship players
CW will see what the situation is, then spend bigger the following season.
Basically he’ll copy what we’ve done over the past 2 seasons.
no ,i was hoping some of it might though, pointless getting promotedCould be way wrong and someone please correct me if I am wrong
We already have a £15-£20m wage bill so that means + £30m = we'll be at £50m
The £170m that you you quote includes parachute payments should we be relegated. Parachute payments total £70m over 3 years so we have £50m spare.
£10m put away for a rainy day in Jan window (CW likes to have a budget in Jan)
£10m for ground and academy improvements + any additional staff
A few bob in the bank, debt paying, and other running costs
You're not assuming that the £170m will go on squad building are you?
no ,i was hoping some of it might though, pointless getting promoted
