The club has lost a shit load of money in recent years and I expect a lot will be put aside or used to edge us towards the black.

If we stay up, I expect the available funds to increase a fair bit in season 2 and keep doing so.

Who knows, who cares........apart from what the board agree to provide Chris with, we're all in the dark.

Personally I have no interest in what Chris agrees to pay for a player, as long as they're good players with the potential to fit in and improve the team, that's all that matters.

I don't care about record signings, about paying X or Y for a player, just be good, that's all that matters.....and as been said in Wilder's interview, he wants money spent on the training ground. The sense that supports this should be obvious; it's during the week that the training staff work with the players and improves them as professional athletes, so whatever improvements need to be made should be made. It's sensible and lays the foundation for whatever the future brings. No doubt this will be work in progress, but for now I hope the board supports Wilder and appreciates the need to improve our training facility.

No predictions, I don't see the point, but what I do hope is that we learn, quickly, and even if we suffer defeats that hurt, as long as we learn and improve, we can't ask for anything more than this. We might also surprise ourselves, but let's wait and see. UTMB!

It doesn't say '£30m' to me, it says £50m plus, but that's just my interpretation.

In all reality 25 to 30 mill would be a massive leap from where we have been but remember that wages have to be factored in. Everyone will be on a big increase and those that come in will want a lot more than the lads are getting now. It won’t go a long way and our expectations should not run away with numbers. Assuming Hendo plus one other on loan that leaves 6 positions. so the transfer kitty should be somewhere between £30 - £40 million which mean we can average between £5 and £6.6 mil per player. Obviously if we secure a free transfer that may free up more depending sign in signing in fee/wages.

Those averages seem sensible to me.

As I understand it, money in the premiership is not dished out up front so significant pre season investment either needs a sugar daddy or a loan and we saw how easy it wasn't for us to get a loan a bit since and having to go to mickey mouse bank at high interest rates.

Hence not a lot without movement on the ownership issue.

I'm saying 30 million, with big transfer fee comes big wages and Wilder doesn't spunk money. I'd already estimate the wage bill before new arrivals will be 40m+

I'd hope we will spend something in the region of £50m all in. I think we might even need to break the £10m barrier on a player, probably a really talented striker.

That said, if the lads are off to Vegas again, Richard Stearman will probably drink half the transfer budget on his own!

In Wilders latest interview he’s already inferred that when we were promoted from league 1 everyone said we needed to spend big on better players but he decided to give them a chance to impress and many met the challenge.

Next season Wilder is going into the unknown, so initial transfers are a bit of guess work.

Think we’ll spend a fairly modest 30 million, mainly on the best Championship players
CW will see what the situation is, then spend bigger the following season.

Basically he’ll copy what we’ve done over the past 2 seasons.

In the real world when a PL club bids for a player, these days the bidding starts at 10 million.
Not sure whether you’re on the wind up or just being ultra pessimistic.
You’re basically saying we won’t be making any signings able to immediately step into the first team
And that we will just rely on loans.

If that’s the case, then Wilder wouldn’t be here.
Be prepared for a nice surprise, we are planning to compete, not just accept relegation with loads of cash in the bank.

Not sure if you are aware but our finances are now in a totally different league, forget the penny pinching pass.
We can financially blow any Championship club out of the water, they can’t get anywhere near competing with us.
