There is an even quicker more direct way through Wilmslow,Pott Shrigley,Whalley Bridge

Ssshhhh, you've fuckin' done it now. Been using that route for years and never any bugger on it. Brilliant drive and in through the "back door" at Cheadle Airport.

From Sheffield... pick up signs A625 to Castleton... travel to Foxhouse, turn left after pub towards Grindleford.... then at crossroads >>
Head west on the A623, Stoney Middleton, Eyam (is a diversory location), Peak Forest... towards Stockport.
Pick up the A60 West from Stockport and you'll miss out all of the Snake area(Glossop, Tintwistle, Hyde, M67).
