Doesn't anybody remember our key midfielder is injured for the game? But then again their top scorer has gone back to Wolves so I suppose its even

We are going into Saturday on a high we are the most feared side in the division I know what we are watching aint pretty but for now we have to put up with it.

Just let's get out of this poxy division

They weren't nowhere, but we were 5 points ahead with 2 games in hand, they should have been miles and miles behind...

That was just at one point. It happened to be after Wednesday's worst run and 3 straight defeats for them. I agree that we should have put distance between us and them. However, they outplayed us at the Sty. We were unlucky to lose K Mac, but few would argue that the Pigs were the better team that day. Wednesday's form was excellent and they really put the pressure on. Our form in the run in was automatic promotion form. Unfortunately their form was record breaking league winning form. Except we were fighting for one place.

You're right that that we could and probably should have been out of sight. Lowton and Maguire's indiscipline. If Lowton doesn't dive in we probably win that game (and are in a better position vs Walsall). If Maguire does not get sent off we do not lose that game and have a much greater chance of beating Walsall. Evans missed two great chances when it was 2-2 against Oldham two. Both right in front of the kop (where I was sitting): Willo's short free kick which he skied from 10 yards and a one on one which he put straight at the keeper. Us and SWFC then went tit for that and Evans going down was the blow that cost us.

Tranmere haven't won for 4 games, have won only 2 of their last 9 games and taken only 10 points from those 9 games. In other words, they have the form of a mid table team. They are there for the taking.

Mid-table? a side that avergaed 1.111111111111111111111111111111111 points per game over a 46 game season would be bottom 6 at best wouldn't they in most circumstances?

Correct. It would give you 51 points over a season. Even more reason why we should win.....

I'm searching...........................................................

I'm searching and searching to find the anti McCabe vitriol in this post.....almost there, ......... I can feel it somehwere, .......... it's coming.............

....................................... it's coming,

Ah Ha! There it is! The word "avergaed" - instead of averaged Mica is surely inferring to us that McCabe "bats for the other side" - No need to send off to Bletchley Park for this one old lad - we can decipher it ourselves.

"Cunning is needed"

As it happens, we now have a great opportunity to get 12 points from the next 4 games as we appear to be playing 4 of the worst form teams in the division - first Tranmere, then away to Crawley (who haven't won in 7 and dropped to mid table), followed by the bottom 2 Scunthorpe and Hartlepool (1 win all season) at home.

if you look at the form table on statto.com (they use the last 6 games) Tranmere are 10th...and we are...13th! Keep wearing them rose-tinted's me old mucker! :D

the truth is we don't know whats gonna happen. we could win the league by 10 points given a fair wind. or we could finish half way down it. were very ordinary, but so is everybody else. someone like rotherham, who cant even get in the top 3 in league 2, would no doubt be half way up league one. scary really. hartlepool would be halfway down the blue square pub league!

Great opportunity yes but remember this is Sheffield United we are talking about and they never do anything the easy way (If they did we could be back in the champ or even the PL). So that will be a total of 5 from 12 then (a loss to tranmere and two draws and a 1-0 win against hartlepool). People have seem to forget that a few months back we were only getting draws against the bottom of league teams.
