Wilder below Steve Bruce.

LOL.

One does a mediocre job with big budgets, the other wins leagues emphatically with small budgets.

Gary Monk? Achieved what exactly?

Bruce, at least he can claim a few promotions.

Where's Warnock? Like him or not he is the top manager with promotions.

Fulham guy did well once with Watford. Don't see how this makes him no 1.

Rowett did well with Burton. He didn't smash both bottom two leagues like Wilder. Think Chris should be higher.

Yes, but all these managers managed in the championship therefore must be better than Wilder.

Bruce - rapes clubs for cash until none left, sulks, then leaves for a bigger offer.
Monk - Somehow managed to make Leeds do a Derby.
Jokanovic - promoted in debut season with Watford, took Fulham to the brink. Reckon they'll go up this season.
Redknapp - see Bruce.
Rowett - did well in 4 months with Birmingham, hardly worth sticking 3rd.

Monk did a better job at Swansea than the bloke after him.

I'm surprised Warnock wasn't in there. He's declined a bit over the last few years but he still kept Rotherham up when they looked doomed.

Rowett has a good reputation and did well at Birmingham under the circumstances but I think he needs to prove he can win promotion, like Rosler does.

And Stam? One half decent season.

What about Warburton? Two promotions with different clubs, Brentford were comfortable in the championship under him.

The article is either written to create controversy and debate or by a bloke that doesn't know as much about football as he thinks.

Wilder should be No.1

Surprised Paul Cook isn't in there having taken Chessy to League 1 then done exactly the same with Portsmouth.
I assume 'The Tomorrow Man', Michael Appleton isn't in there because he's now at Leicester.

Some odd choices there.
Stam?? Why?

Monk, done what exactly?

I wouldn't swap Wilder for any other manager in the league, rose tinted or not his record in football league is the best bar none.
That's enough for me.

Not to be biased but warlock got to be on the list, multiple promotions and also kept roverham up.
Wilder also should be higher with how he's taken the efl by storm.
Rowett I think is a decent call, he's done very well so far.
But I agree with most the article is pretty poor.

I suppose one way of looking at it is who would you least want at the sty (Wilder aside, obviously). Whose appointment would make you worried?

Terrible list to be fair. Hardly any of them have actually achieved something. Just there cause of their big name
