I remember Peter Duffield lashing in a corking volley from a Deano flick on that had had us going mental on the kop. Apart from a few penalties I cant remember Duffer doing much else after that.
I think that was his goal in the 5-1 win over Huddersfield in the 1989 promotion season. A strange game. We came away wondering how United had won at all, yet alone 5-1.
Huddersfield missed a penalty when it was 0-0, gave us a daft one, Duffield scored and then got his volley just after half time, they were all over us for 20 minutes before Andy May scored a daft own goal, and then they caved in and we scored twice more in the last 10 minutes, Deano with a header and I think Bryson got the other.
Mind you, we lost 3-2 there earlier in the season despite dominating so I suppose it evened things out a bit.
