100% agreed with you on this, that is the problem with the offside law when they changed it. It is exceptionally grey and down to opinion/ interpretation. Bringing in the "NFL style" referee explanation makes things worse, as you could just have that on the screen - no goal, offside, 21 x team, interfering with play. But it's not a full explanation as to what has happened, they either need to bring AI tech for offsides or make their explanations clearer or just scrap the whole thing.
