Tony Pulis was at the game tonight. Not saying it's going to happen or anything, but it's a strange game for him to attend...

David Holdsworth was also here tonight.

This must be the only time ever that I would identify Pulis as a better option. That's not saying much though by comparison.

I'd take Pulis if it meant Weir would be relieved of his duties.

I would take Pulis on the basis he took his last club from this division to the premiership, to a cup final and into Europe

What about the ethos we're developing? What about the template laid down by Real Madrid?

its funny I saw Real Madrid at the weekend and they scored goals and won the match, it was all a bit vulgar to be honest

That's what comes with sacking your manager regularly. Who'd want to replicate that?

The longer this debacle goes on, the more I'm warming to the idea of getting Pulis in...

We need someone who knows this league & how to get out of it.
He also has to play football & be able to bring through more youngsters.

Id imagine that would be the boards brief..........

I cant think of a single person who would fit that criteria.

Too many conflicts arent there!

Me too. Nothing - & I mean nothing - could be worse or more embarrassing than this. We are absolutely shite. Football revolution my arse. Apart from when we played 10 man Notts Co our football has been horrible -negative, slow & shambolic. Even our better players are a shadow of what they were pre-Weir. No quality, no confidence, no fight. None of them even speak to each other on the pitch. Physically we are push overs. We look unfit. 3rd bottom of League 1 and home cup defeats to footballing giants Burton & Hartlepool is unbelievable - even by our standards.

Any half decent manager should be able to improve things significantly.

If theres one thing I know about Pulis it is that he likes a team that consists of a few 6 foot plus brick shit houses who are able to fling themselves into a challenge and rough themselves into a game. He likes players who put themselves about and loves the physical element of the game both in the air and on the deck.

Now tell me this......How many players do we have who fit this criteria? None of the team seem to know how to tackle and nesh out of challenges. We never win the 50/50's due to half hearted tackles and other than at the back we don't seem to be winning much in the air.

So if Pulis comes in .....He has to put up with the current squad and adapt to this. All of Weir signings have contract therefore have to stay and the financial protocol regardless of "the prince" being around prevents us from adding Pulis style players to our squad. Would this guarantee any success in the short term no!

For Pulis to come in and be successful we would need a completely new overall of the squad once again. He will utilize the players who can play on the deck but he will want his own style of players in the team as said above because this is how he likes to play his football.
