Is that the same Tony McMahon who said earlier this week that he would sign a new contract at the end of the season if we stayed up. I'd happily let him go if we had another right back who was half way decent.

That doesn't make a difference does it?

If he says that he's happy to stay but the club accept an offer, then that's down to the club rather than him. He's not exactly forcing the move.

Been reasonably consistant. Has had a lot of good off the ball movement that has allowed others to florish recently.

Please be true.
Cant stand him. BUT we do need a replacement

I was really pleased when we signed McMahon, he came with a good pedigree from Boro and their fans were sorry to see him go.....he's not been crap but in a team that has struggled you look to experienced pro's like McMahon to step up and he hasn't done that. A change would be good for all parties.

Not bothered, although not useless he hasn't contributed much.

Creates some space for a better attacking full back option.

Brayford must be def incoming then. Although we are swapping a perm for another loanee?

He hasnt really pulled up any trees with us & his temperment has at times been suspect.
However he had good leadership potential & its another loss of experience,

Indifferent about it. Not the best not the worst. As long as the club reinvests the money (lol) then got no issues really. So who is actually signing him then, if ince has gone??

Now this is most likely going to be B/S but the fee doing the rounds on Twitter for McMahon is £500k

Thought he might have gone to Barnsley...Brayford is far better IMO.

Well done Clough.

UTB!

A masterstroke by NC in my opinion. McMahon often exhibited a lot of what was wrong with our club; Senior players setting a bad example by being thuggish and not taking responsibility. It was frustrating the amount of times that he has been turned inside out by opposing wingers and then pointed fault at players around him! Getting rid of him this soon is a bonus, if we manage to get a fee, well that is a mugging.

Not a player I remotely like, but until his replacement shows himself to be superior I'll not be applauding this.

Now being mentioned is it's only a loan.

So basically that proves nobody has a scooby doo until it's confirmed.

If he does move we'll get far fewer points - disciplinary points that is....

Is there any extended opinion on Bob Harris? Asked a Rotherham fan (he was on loan last year) and said he is best described as 'steady'.

McMahon is not good enough for the championship at all, Clayton Dolandson last season proved this anyone with a bit of pace will tear him apart.

Who is this "Ben" Harris?! (Bad journalism).
While Tony isn't the worst player in the world, he's hardly set the world alight and surely this must be a good deal for us, especially if we get some compensation as well as Harris.
