I met him once in the club shop when I was a teenager, he was very nice to talk to. He kindly signed my Dad's birthday card and invited me to one of his kids soccer camps.

Some years ago , my wife took a group of special needs adults on a tour of Bramall Lane conducted by TC .

Before she went , she barely knew who he was but came back full of praise as to the way both she and the rest of the party had been treated by him and the utterly professional way in which he managed it .

Irrespective of that , as others have said , his contribution to our club should overwhelmingly be judged on his performances on the pitch and many of those were as good , if not better , than those of any player I have ever watched before or since , not just for the Blades but for any of the great teams in my lifetime .

Heard stories he was grumpy, unapproachable etc, had the pleasure of meeting him a few months ago and he was a thoroughly nice guy, very engaging, could talk about his career and the blades all day, clearly loves the club and still loves the admiration and love he gets from Blades or all ages.

Nowt wrong wi being grumpy.

Nobody's perfect. The difference is it's only Blades fans who would openly slag off one of their own legends. I'm sure Bobby Charlton has rubbed a few people up the wrong way but you'll never see Man U fans vilifying him on forums such as this. I'm lost for words sometimes with our lot.

Either last week or week before pig mate at work had sat next to TC watching the ladies team and couldn't stop singing his praises and how nice he was.
