Swear they have a contract with some institution or clinic to push up the call volume.
If people aren't calling they call the most opinionated previous callers and ask if they want a chat, in the hope that their outrageous opinions get more people to phone in. Same reason talk sport always have people on deliberately winding up fans of certain clubs to get a response & more calls.

Lee (his name) used to be a regular many years ago, normally when we weren't doing well, but strangely he has barely been on since Wilder has been in charge. Now all of a sudden he is back on as Wilder leaves. Maybe a bit of a masochist?

Anyway, made a proper 🔔end of his self. A few selected quotes, or words to this effect.

"They have shafted Chris"

"I won't say on air what I have been, because I promised not to, but..." That one got repeated a few times

"Don't listen to idiots like Phipps, there isn't 2 sides to this"

"I am not setting foot in BL again, while that scum are in charge"

"All they care about is your money, they don't care about Sheffield United"

"Phipps is a m o n g " - that was the comment that finally, finally got Oxley to step in.

Whoever is normally sat in front of him at the Lane is in for a much nicer time next season.

I don't usually listen to be honest as I just forget, think I might have to forget more often if that's the tripe on offer

I’ve played golf with him at Lees Hall in the distant past. He’s a decent bloke.

I work at head office, I'm pretty sure he drives a lorry at our Sheffield depot.

Strange world where one of our greatest ever strikers has to drive lorries for a living, yet someone who isn't fit to lace his boots spends their loose change on Lambos and fast food.

That’s what he’s done since retiring . Joe Bolton did as well after leaving Matlock.

That's so phoney (did you see what I did there?) - but just so long as those cheeky celebrities don't see the questions on my radio quiz shows giving them time to come up with smart arsenal answers beforehand I don't mind.

Born 40 years too early, I’m afraid.

No mate I'm not joking. Never met him like, but he definitely works for us
Bit surprised and shocked really. Makes me wonder were he affords to live now. RS can't pay that much for his commentary then if he has to drive lorries at his age.

What's your issue about driving lorries?
