It worries me that there are people who seem uk think he's not good enough for us.Doyle if available on loan is a no brainer. Get him signed.

Sure Leicester don’t give a shit what we do. If they’re not overly bothered about getting rid of him since he was on the bench the other night, why would they care if we have other targets?
I'm not sure what Tommy Doyle brings to this team that Sydie Peck and Tom Davies don't.
just play 5 - 5 - 0Only if we played them all at once fella![]()
Charles isn't in the same stratosphere as Doyle.I'm less keen on this one.
I'm not sure what Tommy Doyle brings to this team that Sydie Peck and Tom Davies don't. As many of us anticipated, he's struggled with the step-up... likely due to his physical limitations.
I'd prefer we loaned Choudhury or Charles.
Loan deal though?Tommy Doyle signing would be class and would be the best signing we could make at this level.
Can't see Wolves selling though.
Would take that but could you see that happening given that he has done well for Wolves from what I have seen.Loan deal though?![]()
He's played like 17 games for them this season but on 4 games have been 90 minutes. Bit part role for them at the momentWould take that but could you see that happening given that he has done well for Wolves from what I have seen.
AyeSaw his cameo at Newcastle tonight, certainly lacks the physical presence to compete in Prem. Wolves set up for a battle and had the physique all over the pitch to carry it on. Only abysmal defending let them down.
They let Doyle on against tired opponents.
Osula, on the other hand, looking very comfortable.
But the style we play now is very similar to Wolves (Only us with less technical ability )One consideration with Tommy Doyle would be that we couldn’t automatically expect him to slip straight back into our current line up either.
Looking at our current squad of lads, he would only be familiar with a couple of them these days due to the heavily changed team since he left. Therefore he would have to get used to the new squad of players and a completely different style of play to what he played in before.
We know his strengths based on us as a team before and no doubt Wilder would get him firing within this set up. He seems the sort of hard working lad who would want to come back and put a positive stamp on things, he was after all open to that idea if he came back for a PL season with us.
But he would theoretically be in a similar position to any new recruit this season, but he would have a fantastic head start over many, which to be fair may be what we need if we are serious about kicking on for promotion.
I don’t mind Danny Hall at all and I think he has decent connections at the club which leads to a sprinkling of info. But I hate the way he has to write for the Star. Cryptic social media posts which lead to articles that are horrendous to read because of all the pop-up ads.Danny working overtime with those clickbait articles. Since the takeover completed he’s not had much to write about.

Those in the NFL thread know that I’m a big follower of the Detroit Lions. One of their “beat reporters” recently broke out from one of the local publications, think the Star basically, to launch his own Substack. $7 a month, he gets to write whatever he likes and has a community of readers who are genuinely engaging with him and valuing being a part of it. Would it work here? I see the likes of Ramble charging for stuff but I can’t help feeling it just seems a bit amateur. Low standards on content, sourcing. The Detroit guy brings professionalism you can only get from years of covering the team/sport properly. He also actively engages in a chat. It’s like having a genuine insider on here. I don’t know, a discussion for another day/thread.
