With West Brom and Newcastle just drawing, that made seven draws today. Good news for United. Shame about Pigs. :)

Many of the percieved top sides dropping points too, which creates a positive context for our own result against potential title contenders and reminds us just how solid we are away from home. Bring on the home games now and let's get an early head of steam up.

COYRAWW!

Makes us currently 19th, and if Coventry v Ipswich is a draw, whatever the scoreline, we'll be down to 21st.

However, 2 straight wins should see us top! (or very close)

I went to the Derby Posh game today on a corporate. Was great game with lots of pretty football to be honest, but both defences on show were truly awful. It could (and shoulkd) have finished about 5 a piece and in that there is not much to worry about from either of those two. Think both Newcastle and West Brom looked strong, though it depends on how many players they can both hold onto before the end of August.

On that point, can anyone explain to me, what id the point on having a transfer embargo, that starts after the first four matches of the season? Thus meaning teams you play in August may bear no resemblence to those same teams in September, thus surely rendering the whole shebang of supressing transfers pointless????

I never read too much into results on the first weekend.

Give it 10 games and see where people are, then you can judge dropped points etc. For me, us and Newcastle haven't really 'dropped' points, beacuse if we were 12 or 13 games in they'd be good away draws.

I watched the Newcastle game, some of the Newcastle players impressed (Smith and Duff took the goal well) but nothing to be afraid of.
Glad there was so many draws!
