Got to disagree on that point:

Che Adams - plays. Hasn't been in the starting line up recently (but has been on the bench) and it seems to be more "off-field" related in addition to his daft sending off some time back that put him there. It looks like he is starting to be reintroduced to the starting line up.

Scougall - injured. Failed to capture form he showed pre-injury first time around when he signed for us initially. Currently injured again.

Flynn - has been injured a fair bit of the season. Come into the team and offered nothing when he has played recently.

I will take a scruffy three points any day of the week, but it is doing my heart no good at all! I don't trust this team to hold on to a one-nil lead and against better opposition we could have been in trouble.

We need to be a lot more accurate on goal.

We started really brightly. To me that team is a concern when the opposition have the ball but Donny were abysmal.

Long a decent save near post, stayed on his line when he should have come out, distribution not great. Not much to do.

Back four ok. They seemed to be targetting our right.

McEveley was so late with one tackle he didn't even get booked. Did some very good work 1v1 last man.

Reed pulled the strings early on.

Two or three moments of physical comedy from Hammond. Some good stuff as well. And I do wonder if he's organiser in chief.

Baxter's pass for the goal was inch perfect. Obviously not an athlete but clearly committed to the cause.

Jam. Good runs and crosses. I thought he passed responsibility once or twice. He wasn't alone.

DCL I thought was poor. Started well missed and missed a back post chance. Heading means he is an outlet but often nodded it out for a gk. This aimless heading on should appease the Conor Sammon hating masses though ;-) Potential but no more.

Adams. Man of the match?

Full of energy and imagination. Direct. Still got a lot to learn and doesn't hold the ball up well always.

But great finish and one turn, run, and pass set up Reed to miss a bigger sitter than the Higdon family sofa.

Over all a good summary but think you are a bit harsh on Calvert -Lewin ,the tactic was to hit balls to DCL to flick on ,which he did really well
With the intention to play Adams in,maybe we were a bit too wide of centre for this to come off but the tactic did work and we turned there defence quite a few times. He's not a natural winger but he stuck to his roll really well and ime sure Adkins (as I was) was pleased with his overall performance,a lot more to come from him !!!.

Instead 10 tortoises that were scared have the ball. we had pace, was trying to get in behind for 1st time in while instead of trying to play it in front of them & we had options in the final third (if it was 4231 that I was thinking) then baxter was great in that attacking no10 role,

Brilliant to finally see adkins try the youth & academy players in Reed, Calvert-Lewin, Adams which I think is a way to go, as you need legs in this division & also as spurs proved with Harry Kane if you can find a good player in the academy thats more budget that can be spent on other areas

Good post but tbf to Adkins, he's played Reed before and Adams was pretty regular until he lost his dad. Only DCL was an 'unknown' and he acquitted himself well at Northampton on loan.
Gambles perhaps but calculated ones.
