We will stay up.
We've had a bit of misfortune to the start of the season, nothing to worry about.
There's been some crazy scorelines today in the Prem.
I've followed United since 1971, that's from a century when the majority of you lot throwing the dummy out weren't even born.
You think Currie and Woodward are the name of a song, you don't know who the zone man is and you believe Henderson is the only player we've chanted Deano to.
Chill out we'll be fine
UTB ❤
So you should remember 1975/76 then? Because this is what I'm being reminded of so far.

Was discussing this with a mate, who is also a member of this forum, and taking yesterday's game as the example maybe we are a little too 'honest'. If Burke chucks himself to the floor then the ref has to look at it properly, as would VAR and clearly it's a foul. Is it a red? Not certain as i'm sure the argument would be that the keeper is getting there first (sure that wouldn't be the case if roles reversed). Lundstram in the second half gets a rap on the shin having nicked it off the toes of the Arsenal guy, not enough to make him go down, but if he had VAR would have looked at it and there is contact, it's irrefutable, and therefore has to be a penalty.

I don't think anyone wants to have to play like this, and i'm sure Wilder has something along these lines himself, but if you can't beat them join them. I'd rather stay up having engaged in a bit of sportsmanship than get relegated as the most honest team to go down.
To quote Jose “Nice honest players don’t win win football games. C#nts do”. Lamela v Burke/Lunny yesterday. Said it last season. There’s only us in the premier league that abide by the Queensbury rules. We’re far too honest for our own good. I hate watching it, but if we don’t wise up sharpish, we will regret it.

We’re a bottom half of the league team that were beaten away by a top 6 side. WBA, Fulham, Burnley, Etc will all get turned over there. We’ll comfortably avoid relegation. The reaction on here is like we been well beaten at home to Walsall.
What about that team 5th from bottom who shipped 6 yesterday?

Didn't Furphy say something along the lines of"why change a team that did so well last season"?
Early days,but worrying parallels
We're changing the team a fair amount, particularly as swapped our key cog (Norwood) for Berge.

We Blades we need to take this one game at a time like Wilder tells the players to. I understand why some fans are concerned because ideally we needed to get some points in the bag before the difficult run starting with Arsenal began, but we’ve been here before more than once under Wilder as well as Bassett and other managers. Just one win and the confidence returns and we were up and running again.

The worst thing we as fans can do is pile on even more pressure and negatively. I’ve seen some disgusting stuff on social media where our own players have been slagged off, written off and even tagged in the abusive message for good measure just in case the player missed it. What is wrong with people? How do they think this will help matters? We’re FOUR games in, nobody has hammered us (unlike ManU and Liverpool), it’s been fine margins, let‘s back the players and management and help them turn it around, that’s what supporters do isn’t it?

We’ll always have gobshites that love the sound of their own voices more than the club, but it’s up to the rest of us to make it clear online that we’re 100% behind them. It’s the one and only way that we can support our club until we can start attending games again. ⚔
Absolutely this. Yes.

You have had 4 games. Wolves, no shame in losing to them at their place, they did the double over City last season. Villa, unlucky to get a red card (6 of one half a dozen of the other) and miss a pen. Leeds, was a very close game and a bit silly to concede a late goal (a bad day at the office). Arsenal, Luis should have seen Red but still no shame losing to Arsenal.

It is only 4 games, Brewster to come in and the international break to work on the training ground a little more with the players not off on international duty. I find it nearly impossible to believe CW will not start getting some points on the board and I fully expect to see Blades quickly pull ahead of Baggies and Fulham. I do believe this season will be much tougher for Blades but I expect you to stay up and finish mid lower half of the table. Yes, your performances haven't been great but all clubs go through a bad patch, you are just starting your season with your bad patch. The next run of fixtures looks really hard but I do expect you to get some wins against some of the teams from the top 8.

Good luck for the season, I do hope u stay up as u tend to play a nice brand of football and the PL is better for having teams like Blades. Burnley, Baggies and Fulham are the 3 I tip for the drop

I am starting to get concerned as we have been playing more and more like this since we played Man City and Liverpool away last year. We now do not represent anything that got us up from league 1, the championship and first half of last season. We have become a more and more sit back and hoofball team, instead of getting it down the wings on the floor. Before I thought we did this when McBurnie was playing but last couple of game shows this is the way we now 'play'.

We need to start taking the game to teams again instead of being scared, sitting back, trying to nick it. If we did that and we still lost the first four I wouldn't be nearly as worried by it. We don't look like we are going to score. You could say we scored yesterday but shooting from outside the box is not really part of our gameplan.

Norwood is one of my favourites, but unfortunately we’re not in the championship anymore. 1st part of last season he was essential. As soon as the opposition twigged that by putting one of their forwards on him when our defence had the ball nullified him completely, he became a weakness, not a vital cog. Add in his chronic lack of pace, it became blindingly obvious that CWAK had to phase him out. If you haven’t got legs and dynamism in this league, your as good as dead, hence the appropriate additions this window.

Totally agree with you and I think virtually all Blades are behind the manager and the players 100%. I really hope/think things will improve for us and yes we do need to take things one game at a time. But it's also OK to be realistic too about our current problems. Hoping we manage a bit more this transfer window to help address them. The lack of goals is unquestionably a very worrying trend.

I agree tbf. It's a real shame because it's not Oli"s fault he doesn't have pace. But yes, his pace actually a weakness for us, despite his lovely passing etc. Been amazing for us.

It'd be a shame if he leaves because a top pro/captain/influence, and can be trusted to help on the pitch when required.

Wolves apart we have lost to in form teams but have been in every game. Players are struggling with fitness and form. The squad is miles better than last season. Have faith we will come good. So what if we have a run of tough games coming up, we should then get a run of easier games

What if we'd lost to them at our place? Just asking for a friend.

Hiya Don. Hows retirement going?

My worry is this we lost our identity Robinson is weak can't so the role needed

We will need to get 6 points from both Fulham & WBA.

3 points from Southampton (h), West Ham (h), Newcastle (h) and Villa (h)

1 point from Brighton (a), Burnley (a) and Palace (a),

Our last 6 games of the season are: Brighton (h), Spurs (a), Palace (h), Everton (a), Newcastle (a) & Burnley (h).

We are in all likelihood going to need 10 points from 18, and will probably face Burnley in a relegation decider.

37 points in 34 games i.e post lockdown form. Not impossible hard with no JoC + Henderson

People need to stop counting the last 3 games of last season. Players were knackered by then and some of the summer temperatures were really hot as well.

Just focus on the 4 defeats so far. Otherwise, although technically accurate, it's more like scaremongering than accurate analysis.

Are we playing under a different manager: No

Are we playing a different formation: No

Are we playing in a different league: No

Are we playing in different crowd atmosphere: No

You would be naive to say that the issues creeping in at end of last season have not had a run in effect into this season. For me it's 7 losses in the same league in a row. That's the facts.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, I agree with you for what its worth, I wish a few more on here would see the bigger picture

henderson was never staying ,,,rambo has done nothing wrong , , hes a very able replacement,
people forgave henderson for some horrendous clangers, should give rambo some slack

It wasn't so much a criticism of Ramsdale more that Henderson and the back 3 were playing as a unit for two seasons. Weve effectively cut that in half. That JoC's non availability is down to injury is v bad luck but irrespective it puts a lot of pressure on.
