In my opinion, we haven't made enough out of the many free kicks that the players, such as Brandy has won for us in good shooting positions. McMahon doesn't seem to have his sights set properly this year despite coming close once or twice this season.

Maybe it is time to let Baxter have a go at them. He has a really good ability on the dead ball. His corners are the best we've had for several years and he scored on many occasions for Oldham from high quality free kicks.

At worst, mix the free kicks up a little to give variety.

Amazed Baxter isn't now our chief dead ball taker.

I would have changed it when he arrived but we continue to muddle through with mediocrity.

It's the Blades Way

If McMahon didnt take the free kicks he would contribute the square root of Fcuk all to the team. Considering he is supposed to be a specialist he doesnt hit the target very often.

In my opinion if they could clear the first man it would be a start !
As regards McMahon = Waste of Space but he is slightly better than Westlake

Agreed. I think the two at Crawley last season went to his head

I think you will find that your mathematical hypothesis still stands, even though he is taking the free kicks.

Agree with the OP. Couldn't get to the Preston game but the last home game he had 9 or 10 set pieces and got the ball in the right place for 3 of them I think.
